Kings Summer League Info/Questions/Discussion (merged)

Kings trail 38-34 at the half. Clippers hit a three at the buzzer. Hawes 11 pts 5-9 FG and 3 boards. Hopefully, Sac plays better and does not repeat 2nd half disaster like last game.

Kings with solid 3rd Q to lead 54-52. Last game of summer league with total 55 games, 21 teams including China. League best 5 announced and if I heard correctly it's Spencer Hawes, Al Thornton, Aaron Brooks, Kevin Durant, Nate Robinson (named most outstanding). May not be since where's Marco Benelli of the Warriors?

No, Nate got the MVP and Aaron got rookie of the month. Everyone else mentioned--including Hawes--got first league summer team.

Meaning Benelli made the first 5 but Brooks didn't? I heard Benelli was 1st or 2nd scoring leader in Vegas.

The game last night was on radio too? Damn it. All week all they advertised was the game on Sunday being on radio. Grant is right though about Portland they will be scary good and of course he had to suck up to Wheels since he was a former kings broadcaster here in the mid 90's and had that great show on 1140 "Wheels after work". lol what a title that was.

Thanks, at least I now know how to spell Marco's name.
I guess there was no real break down of 1st, 2nd & 3rd team - but congrads to Spencer!

Hawes has a nice arsenal on offense....spin moves, jumpers. Can't wait to see him against real NBA players...Paul Davis doesn't count.

Yeah, its too bad -- Kaman has been down there working out some kinks with the Clips and it would have been nice to see that matchup. But oh well, a few months I guess.
