Kings @ Raptors discussion thread

Yep... getting a little closer to a top lottery pick at least, especially if the clippers win!

I'd like to see the Kings run some different offenses, seems like they keep reverting to Miller popping out to the top of the key trying to set a pick for the guards.

the most depressing thing about this kings is not the fact that we were manhandled by mediocre raptors team or being disgraced by their absolutely pathetic commentators - the saddest thing is that excluding Cisco, JT, Bobby J and probably Spencer probably this team has NO heart NO will No proud and NO balls to fight anybody back.

this is probably the most indifferent...or the most depressed i've felt towards the kings. ever.

And that's the downside albeit predictable response when a team is a team in name only, and is recently committed to rebuilding but hasn't made any significant trades/moves the fanbase can be excited about.

It's not going to get much better, at least in the short term. We can cry for more minutes for the kids but, for the most part, they're not ready for them. Jason Thompson is just about the sole bright spot right now, and he is showing improvement by leaps and bounds. Bobby Brown and Donte Greene may not be seeing much court time, but there's a reason for it. They're not ready for the big league, IMHO, at least not all together with Thompson and Hawes.

We'll get through this. In a way, we're in much better shape than the Mavericks who are approaching "blow up the clown" status at breakneck speed. Mark Cuban has shown before he's not a patient man. What's happening with his team right now cannot be bringing anything close to a smile to his face. (And slightly OT, just thinking about how irate he must be actually brings a smile to MY face.)

Keep the faith.

:)

Oh please. This has gotten beyond old. Turning a loss into insults against players does absolutely nothing to further decent discussion. Exactly what do you expect? And let's be REAL about it...

These guys are playing for absolutely NOTHING at this point in time, other than a paycheck. The fact they manage to make games of most competitions at all is a blooming miracle.

They've got an interim coach; at least 1/3 of their teammates most likely won't be around next season; attendance at ARCO, once known for terrific team support, is dropping like the DOW; there are more gaps in our roster than in Swiss cheese; and some message board coaches say they have no heart, no will, no "proud" (sic), etc.

The reality is we're terrible right now and turning it into personal insults against the players isn't going to change it ... and it's not going to be any more correct now than it was the first time you posted it.

I'm not talking about only one loss
And sucking isn't a reason to not playing hard. You can be a poor team but at least show some effort... at least for yourselves for god's sake

Well yeah...but if you overlook those piddly details, what the heck's the problem??? ;)

I remember a few years ago on the East Coast I drove for 3 hours to watch a Kings-Wizards game in D.C. (it was a major thrill to see not only my first Kings game in person, but the legendary Michael Jordan as well). I ran into a group of other Kings fans who very proudly (and very drunkenly) announced that they had been Kings fans since the early eighties. All the suffering and the bad years had become perhaps their greatest pride.

It doesn't make it any more enjoyable NOW, but I think in a few years I'll be glad to say I was a fan even when there was just a glimmer of hope to cheer for. Well...that and Salmon's mad ballsharing skillz.
