Kings possible intrest in Dragic

Good. He's on my short list of guards who'd fit and might be attainable. I little surprised Pho might be willing to move him given how they're playing, but if he's on the market in any capacity I'd pick up the phone.

Still prefer Rondo, hands down. But looking at PG's that would fit with Gay/Cuz and who are possibly available is quite a short list.

Of course, it's Chad Ford though. Take it with a grain of salt.

if they are looking for a dump maybe jimmer and outlaw? If they are looking for talent in return maybe Derrick williams. best case scenerio for us is MT

They (the Kings) would be foolish not to. Dragic is nearly an all-around upgrade over Thomas at point guard. Ideally, you'd want to keep both Thomas and Dragic.

The Suns major problems are at the wings. Plumlee and the Morrises are doing yeoman's work in the paint with Len struggling both with injury and adapting his game to the NBA. Dragic is holding down the 2-guard spot for now with Archie Goodwin showing some promise through his rawness. They use P.J. Tucker (dime-store Mbah a Moute), Gerald Green and one of the Morris brothers at the three with Tucker being the best of the bunch at that position.

I could see a Williams/Jimmer combo bringing back Dragic. Phoenix' front office is fairly tight-fisted. I imagine they are looking at Dragic's three year deal and thinking that might make it more difficult to resign Bledsoe in the offseason. Williams is an Arizona alum (for whatever that is worth.) He should also be an offensive and rebounding upgrade over Tucker and Greene and a defensive upgrade at the three over the Morrises. As to Jimmer, if any head coach in the league knows how to reclaim a shooter like Jimmer, it would be Hornacek.

This would make sense, at least from the Kings' perspective. I'm not exactly sure why Phoenix gives up Dragic, though. If they really want take make the top 3 in ping pong balls, give the Kings Bledsoe for some change.

the rumor has made it to hoopshype front page. Dragic would be a definite upgrade in size and defense at the pg position. Assuming we keep Isaiah he could go back to the role he excelled in, the 6th man.

so now its time for some trade scenerio's right?

IT, Jimmer, Outlaw?

Thornton?

Williams?

Landry?

Dragic starting with IT off the bench would be outstanding. Lefty combo attack.

Dragic has very good length at the PG. Plays longer than his height

Why would the Suns look to trade Dragic? Unless they have a power move up their sleeve to add a major piece and need the cap room to sign and pay Bledsoe/Player X it does not make sense to me.

Dragic is a very good player, really underrated cause he doesn't jump out the gym and plays in pheonix. He averaged 14-7 last year while shooting 49% from 2 also didn't realize he is 6'4

I doubt that Thomas would be involved. Actually, Thornton makes almost the exact same amount of money as Dragic, so it would be a straight up swap. The only advantage to the Suns, other than Thornton being a true SG, is that his contract is up a year earlier than Dragic's. Don't know if their interested in Thornton or not, but his game fits their style of play. I would love to have Dragic on our team. He's a tough gritty player, who despite the fact that he's not an elite athlete, seems to get anywhere on the floor he wants. Obviously, it would put IT back where he's most effective, and, give us some insurance against him leaving at years end, if they can't come to a meeting of minds.

Really have no idea what it would take to get him. He's playing quite well right now, and the team is surprisingly competitive. Doubt Thornton is enough to get it done.

Dragic is too valuable for it not to include IT or Ben.

You have to watch out with trading Ben, but it should be noted that Dragic is actually an ideal sort of PG to pair with IT because it allows you to send IT to the bench, and yet Dragic is big enough that you can have them play minutes together ala the old Bibby/Bobby pairing, or, of course, what they are already doing with Bledsoe. Start Dragic/ a Thabo type guy, bring in IT next to either, be pretty complete.

Now the thing is that if you seriously go out and add Dragic without subtracting IT then our shots crunch becomes borderline impossible. I mean, it heads into are you kidding me territory when you have your presumed lineups of IT/Dragic/Gay/Cousins? Come on, this isn't NBA2K. You just have to dump every single other player on the team who would want more than 5 shots a game. Reggie Evans might be too big of a gunner for the leftovers we'd have.

I'm just not terribly interested in Dragic. He's still more of a scorer than a passer. He can pass better the Thomas, I'll grant you that, but he's also not a very good defender. Everyone rightly criticized Thomas for his defense against Dragic without realizing how easy Thomas was scoring on him the other way.

I just don't think the minor upgrade is worth something like McLemore, which will likely be the price. He doesn't do anything to improve our areas of weakness, which are almost all defensively. If we are trading one of our only assets (McLem0re) .. go get a defender.

I thought Dragic has always been a pretty bad defender? I could be wrong, I haven't seen him play much but I just don't see him as all that much of an upgrade over IT. Now if they want to talk Bledsoe, I'd trade half our team for him.

Goran Dragic is similar to Beno Udrih on defense - besides that they're both from Slovenia. Dragic is good 1.5"-2.0" taller than Beno and bit quicker. Dragic like Beno plays passing lanes and works angles on D to get some deflections and some steals. He fights around picks more with his quickness than using toughness which maybe Beno has little more of. Goran Dragic is no Greivis Vasquez on D either - as he is definitely not slow. Dragic puts in solid effort on D and at 6'4" is not going to constantly be shot over like routinely abused barely 5'9" IT.

I would do it but at some point we simply have to stop going after players that as not great defenders. Everyone we seem to be interest in is a player that likes to score! How about a shot blocker and an interior defender and rebounder?

I would love to see IT return to the bench as he is best suited to that role but of this trade does not involve him, then we once again have a major shot crunch with Cousins, Gay, Dragic and IT.

We need to get a pass first PG but we are in DESPERATE need of some elite defenders on this team. Acy is probably our best defender and he wouldn't see the floor for a good play off team! Its nice to pick offensively savvy players but at some point we need to go out and get some excellent defenders and start defending. We gave up 39 points to the Pelicans in the 4th quarter today....that is appalling! Tyreke absolutely killed us tonight!

Dragic would be unreal but yeah we ain't getting him without giving up Mclemore

 Have you seen Wallace's contract?! Wallace is finished. The last thing we need is another Kenny Thomas...only worse!
he can still play better D than anybody on this current team. the trade isn't for him its for Rondo. taking wallace keep you from having to give up Ben.

Gay 2 years x 17 mil = 34 mil Wallace 3 years 11 mil = 33 mil. thats a wash and you get Rondo
