"When you come out with a lackluster effort, this is what happens. Like Rick said at half-time, the fans deserve to boo us. We have to do something. Get a good rebound, do something. You can't fool the fans."

good one.

Kara and Koz say the fans WANT to cheer. They will reward EFFORT, even if you don't win.

Peja says:

The way we played, we started okay but we just didn't pick it up. The second quarter we just...and the third quarter. They just out-played us. We talked about how we have to step up to the challenge and compete. And I just think things didn't go our way...

At that point, they cut the feed.

Skinner talks about his time on the Clippers, when they won something like 14 games total.

No one else is even shown. I think they emptied the locker room and left Skinner as the sacrificial King for the media wolves.

LOL

But I really would like to see Mike come out and take a big share of the blame for this one. He's says he's the leader, plus his bad start kind of set the tone for tonight.

oh well.

Koz said they're going to be going to the locker room to talk to the players. I'll try and post any comments, unless I throw up in my mouth just a little.

You do have a way with words VF! :)

Things didn't go our way...well I'm glad he's figured out that much. Maybe if you put a hand into Jackson's face...

The best comment was Adelman's when he said they should have done something to at least distract Jackson, like "KNOCK HIM DOWN OR SOMETHING."

I really appreciated that.

I just want to see someone lose it, and say something totally out of line ... it's the same ish every time.

We lose, they come out and say..."Oh we lost ... you know, we can't play like this, they completely outplayed us. We'll have to do better next time"

Then next game, they get their butts handed to them again.

Somebody needs to come out and make death threats. Where's Pete Carrill when you need him ?

Maybe if anybody on the Kings had done anything! This was most definitely lost by everyone on the Kings. Not defending Pedja, but I guess he really is damned if he does and damned if doesn't. He smiles after a loss and gets blasted...he looks like he should look after a pathetic game (by virtually everyone) and he still gets blasted.

Although I didn't get his very first comments down, he did refer to the starters as "them" and "they"... that's just a small indication of the problems on this current squad, IMHO.

I doubt he was really concentrating about things like that after a loss like tonight.

Hart referred to the starters as "they" and "them." And no, he wasn't concentrating on it which makes it so telling. Instead of viewing the starters as part of the same team he's on, Jason Hart obviously views them as being a separate and distinct entity. And that's not good.

I meant how he would be wording the comments after a terrible loss.

That's the whole point. He was speaking extemporaneously. He wasn't guarding his words. He - and who knows who else on the bench - apparently thinks of the starters as "them" and not part of "us." It's not unheard of but I sure can't recall another time when part of our reserve unit has referred to the starting five as if they were the opposition instead of part of the same team.

It shows a lack of cohesion. A "us" vs. "them" mentality that cannot be good for team dynamics. I don't want to make it into the biggest problem going on, but it would certainly raise red flags of alarm for me if one of my players referred to other players in that manner.

I doubt it turns into anything, honestly. I mean it as in after a big game/win or loss, players can sometimes get caught up in a spur of the moment/happening, and just speak on the fly.

Hello? You aren't seeing the POINT.

Yes, he spoke on the fly. After an emotional game. In cases like that, people speak unguarded. They speak what's truly in their minds without being politically correct, respective of various pecking orders, etc.

In Jason Hart's mind, our starters are "THEM" as in NOT US.

It's not a matter of it turning into anything. It's a matter of a distance between the starters and the bench that is so profound at least one of the bench players doesn't even think of himself as part of the same team.

It's a common symptom of group dynamic breakdown. Ask anyone who has ever worked for the State and taken basic group communication training.

Hi.

There isn't really a point to me, hence why I said I don't think it turns into anything, or is already like that.

Im gonna be honest. When I saw the Kings out on the court when I watched them at the Staples Center (the night they TROUNCED the Clippers) during shootaround besides Bonzi (who was just out shooting even tho he's injured) and Cisco who were laughing with eachother not ONE player even cracked a smile. They just walked out there, shot around... Just eh... No laughing no nothing. As they took turns hitting shot after shot and destroying the Clippers, the Kings didnt cheer, they didn't jump off the bench, they didn't high five eachother, they didn't celebrate. Like when Stephen Jackson drained those threes he did his little dance and the whole team was up cheering and jumping up and down and high fiving. When a guy on our team goes off they just kinda... sit there...

There is no glue holding them together. Doug, Bobby and Chris are gone - and they were the most dynamic players left after Vlade departed. There isn't any player on that team who has the strength of personality we need to draw the rest of the players in. There is no magnetism. We don't even have a Mateen Cleaves this year. They don't trust each other; they don't even know each other. And it shows.
