This team plays better defense because of Joerger and free agent signings but core issues remain from past years, which in itself is another thread. Too early to have that discussion, first three games were overall very good, Hawks and Heat were huge step backs, but again I want to see more games because Hawks and Heat road games have historically been disastrous for this team. Gotta win vs Orlando and Milwaukee.

I disagree. Cousins was fouled even before that point. The shove by Whiteside was the foul. He shoved Cousins as he drove AND as he went up for the shot. ANY offensive player in the league gets an "AND ONE" on that play.

Embiid is now on a 25 minute restriction for your information. He produced a double double in those limited minutes, with 4 blocks. He makes them better as long as he is on the court. The rest of the team scraps and plays hard. Talent deficit or not.

I agree on the bad night by the refs. A lot of questionable calls, however...I can't agree with that last foul out. That was the proper call.

Cousins needs to stop fouling so much...every game he is in foul trouble. You cannot lead a team when you are not on the floor. Constant reaching and swiping when there is no reason to. Yes, he fills the stat sheet. No he is not above criticism and most definitely contributes to the losing culture.

Cauley Stein might be in the dog house by the looks if it. It didn't take long for Koufos to be taken out of the starting unit. Tyler Johnson is a perfect player that lights the Kings up, nothing new here. It had to be Tyler Johnson & Dion Waiters, since Wade is no longer there to fill that void.

Forget the refs. Cousins got angry and played the game to get fouls rather than to get points, and it totally backfired. Kings played a crappy Miami team, and the game shouldn't have been close if the Kings could have managed to have just a decent offensive game. Barnes going out and not returning is not good. They need him for toughness and stability on the floor.

He also had a bad turnover on the Sixer's second to last possession and then TJ McConnell threw himself at the Magic to lose the game.

That's his fault for receiving the ball on the three point line? Sure, he shouldn't of dribbled in the first place...they competed, they aren't expected to win anyway. Why are we having this conversation?

Let's not pretend like Willie hasn't earned that dog house. He's lucky he got minutes at all considering all the looks Joerger has got of WCS as summer league coach, preseason coach, and so far this season has been negative. Coach is probably wondering what the organization was so excited about.

I don't deny that. The Kings have been winning in Orlando, even when they weren't expected to. The first two were the ones which we could chalk up automatic losses, from here on out...Kings can win in Orlando & Milwaukee, whether they will...well, that remains the question.

They were. That's the big flaw in Joerger's defensive schemes. He focuses on clogging the middle first and then works his way out. This system works great with a crazy person like Tony Allen on defense but has middling returns when your starting shooting guard is Arron Afflalo.
