[Game] Kings @ Heat, 11/1/16 - 4:30 PM PDT

So far on this trip we are seeing the Kings revert back to not getting out on 3 point shooters. That had been one of the more encouraging things about the first 3 games. It seems everybody was contested on the perimeter. Last night Atlanta got too many good looks from 3 and that 1st quarter vs. Miami was much of the same.

What is up with Cousins? I thought he was happy with the coach/team/franchise? These last two games he has looked like mopey, disinterested, whole world against him Cousins. Frustrating to watch such a great player be his own worst enemy.
Do agree with that. Bad body language for whatever reason this trip so far.

Guy's a tough dude to read.

One stretch of dominating play will likely change everything though.

Joerger's defense is built inside out (this was the case in Memphis as well), meaning that perimeter oriented teams can find open shots at times if they're patient.

Cousins is trying to play the refs right now. Willie Reed ain't knocking the big fella down unless Cousins is putting on an act. When Cousins is in that mode, we see him attack on offense not to score a FG but to get a call and then we see him put himself out of position on defense by being over dramatic to contact.

We look like a veteran team thats sleepwalking through the regular season because we're going to turn it on in February for the playoff push. Not a team thats a perennial loser that has proven absolutely nothing and is regarded as a joke in this league, Joerger can only do so much.

So wait.....damn near every other post is about Cousins and his demeanor, meanwhile, our perimeter defenders apparently forgot how to play and besides Gay and Cousins, we are not getting much offense from anybody......but it's about what the hell is wrong with Cousins.
Demarcus obviously needs to do a better job defending Dion Waiters

I see it's already that time of the season for us to overreact and make sweeping generalizations of a team that's still only played five games together.
I think when the issue at hand is plain effort, yes you should worry. You can't be five games into the season and your best player is sleepwalking through games. Its unnaceptable at any point in the season but to see it when you are 2-1 and the vibes are supposed to be good around the team, you have to wonder what in the world is the issue(s).

Well, there is something obviously wrong with him. The guy wears his emotions on his sleeve. He isn't hard to read as somebody suggested earlier, he's hard to understand. He isn't playing poorly though, last night he played poorly. Nobody is blaming him for the poor perimeter defense..but being the team basically, if something appears off about him that is always the greatest concern of the kings fan.

If you look at his skull the phrenology tells you everything you need to know about how he is unwilling to make the perimeter work and and the bumps over the brow clearly indicate his lack of interest in getting the other players in the game... c'mon man it's SCIENCE!
