If the Pels beat Portland tonight, the Kings will be sitting in the 4th spot in the west. I know it's extremely early, but whaaaaat.
Including PapaG?
Everyone keeps bringing up Whiteside but if there was ever a player who needed a kick in the butt it was him. He had to be cut and realize that he had to get his @#$%^&* together.Hassan Whiteside 2.0
I’m thinking he’s probably glad he’s not out there running at our paceVince Carter probably thinking damn I joined the Kings a year to early could have been the starting SF this season.
i hope to see more of them returns back as active contributors and bring back to this forum their quality contributions we enjoyed before they decided to leave. I have been with them before, this ride will be more meaningful if we all can get together. Go Kings! It's an incredible feeling. And what's even better is to see so many OLD school KF peeps checking back in.
Exactly. Without adversity and some time staring failure in the face with decisions to make, Whiteside never becomes the Whiteside he is today.Everyone keeps bringing up Whiteside but if there was ever a player who needed a kick in the butt it was him. He had to be cut and realize that he had to get his @#$%^&* together.
He took a chance. It didn't work out and he pulled the plug. Absolutely no shame in that whatsoever.
Ahh... yes... the old trick of using imperfection as an argument against success. Wrong mindset tbh, imo and imho.Including PapaG?
And hindsight is 20/20. It was slim pickings past 7. I think it was better than taking Chriss at 8.
Even if skal, and papa wash out, we still won that trade with Bogie as a returnChriss was used as a cap dump in a trade with the Rockets; who also declined his option. Skal will be in the league longer than Chriss will. Let that sink in
It is part of the game. We have a bunch of nice guys and need some edginess. It is an advantage most of the time.Shumpert is gonna lead the team in talking crap.
Vince came out of the lineup shaking his head and thinking "Man these guys are fast. I am getting too old for this pace."Vince Carter probably thinking damn I joined the Kings a year to early could have been the starting SF this season.
Oh yeah this team needs it. he thrives on that type of stuff too. I can't help but think that Bjelly and Shump combined have given this team a bit of a Joe-Ingles type of grittiness with the high-percentage shotmaking, pesky defense and vet presence. It is part of the game. We have a bunch of nice guys and need some edginess. It is an advantage most of the time.
