Kings @ Grizzlies Game Thread

WTF? Does any Kings player want to even play a lick of freaking defense? This is just horrible. And don't tell me the same old song and dance that this is a rebuilding team. Any player can play defense...it just a matter of wanting to play defense...which by looking at this game, the Kings do not.

Well, for those that are looking to watch exciting Kings game...well, you are watching it.

hey i'd be sweet if donte played more in the 2nd half and exploded for 20! that be a victory in itself!

Why not so much JT?

Was he just getting abused out there? It seems like every player of ares was. Howbout playing our rebounders (JT and Hawes) in the second half Reggie!

PS: and more Donte.....Q is cut.

Interesting to be getting slaughtered by a team comprised entirely of kids. Nobody who's starting or playing significant minutes for Memphis has over 2.2 years NBA experience. Impressive.

oh no, Reggie's getting canned!!!

haha...but seriously, I'm gonna head over to the "and with the 1st pick in the nba draft..." thread for awhile :p

Man, the road woes continue. Long evening...... I dont even know if beating the Clips in LA is much of a road win either. Hope we can turn around and at least be competitive tomorrow. But then again, we are playing New Orleans. We need both Cisco and Martin ASAP.

I want Rubio on this team. A pox upon those 1-9 teams that we'll never catch up with.

I've heard he isnt coming out this season...

But hey, I'll take DeRozen

As much as I want to bash Q right now....He's got 5 boards, which means he's outplaying Bobby Brown haha

my excitement over getting to see the kids play a whole quarter together has quickly waned, as i realize douby plans on taking 90% of the shots.

No kidding. I want to see Hawes and Thompson getting most of the shots. Hawes, especially, should be getting more shots. If I never see Douby shoot again, it will be too soon. I've tried to patient with Douby, but the guy just can't do it.

haha...

he is crashing the boards though

and why oh why is "The Big Forehead" Williams in for Hawes? That dude is cut with Q.

JT finally with some blocks...I was worried about the kid

Donte misses (in the middle of Purple Haze by Hendrix playing) and then gets a goal tending at the other end. Memphis arena nearly empty as fans depart - the few thousand who witnessed this:confused:

Quincy Douby has got to go. He's a ME, ME, ME player first before the team. Please get rid of him.
Play a guy out of position for two years, don't pick up his option year, and this is what you get. His job for the rest of the year is to sell himself to the rest of the league. I wish him luck.

Douby is such a small step forward, many steps back sort of player. The problem is, unlike guys like Gerald Green who can rely on their potential to stick in the league, Douby is as one-dimensional AND undersized as they come, so that can't really be an excuse for him. If Salim Stoudamire's not in the league, Douby may not be in the league for long either...in fact, if we do end up letting him go in the offseason, he may not even get a guaranteed contract.

If Kevin and Cisco had been active we would no doubt not be talking about DOOOBEEE. As soon as those solid (even sensational) NBA players both come back little Q can become invisible on the bench again - none to soon!

The problem is we have guys that want to shoot first and pass later..Blow it up and trade Salmons and Beno......
