i dont think these guys understand the concept of tanking

Oh give it a rest...

You want to debate tanking, start a different thread to do it. This is the GAME THREAD, where Kings fans enjoy the game. You might find it hard to believe, but some of us are in the moment, ROOTING for our young team.

It's been tough on them this year and the fans are just starting to come back. Your average ticket-buying fan doesn't understand the concept of tanking and he/she certainly doesn't want to put out good money to watch a team not try.

Seriously, this isn't about positioning for the draft. This thread is about rooting for the Kings, kinda in keeping with the name of the board, you know?

Thank you. Couldn't agree more.

I don't think he's that bad. He was killing us earlier in the year by shooting every time he touched the ball, but he's not forcing it nearly as much at this point. He's a solid veteran, tough, plays defense.
Tough and plays defense? Really? He tries hard, i'll give you that. But he clearly needs to be gone from the team one way or the other.

How does he benefit us going forward?

I just hope Reke can watch this, alot of times he just holds on the ball to long or doesnt make the easy pass to the wing in a fast break, hopefully its something he can learn to get better at.

????

Reke's a rookie who would be a sophomore in college if he hadn't come to the NBA. Sure there are rough spots in his game but he's learning a lot more rapidly than I would have thought possible. I'm positive he's going to continue to grow and adapt his game. The difference between him in November and him now is already eye-opening.

People need to quit expecting so much so soon. Greatness takes time, and I personally think Evans is right on schedule.

:)

He will. He already has gotten better at that In my opinion.

Yeah I think he is tough and plays deense. Who he is as a player and how he fits with the team going forward are two different questions. I was only commenting on him as a player.

I agree.

Nocioni has value. Maybe not what we need going forward, but he is tough, he's not afraid to take a charge, he's not afraid to give a little payback, and he's passionate about the game. That's not a bad example to set for some of the kids.

No team has a perfect roster, well except maybe in NBA2K whatever... Each team has strengths and weaknesses. Nocioni goes out there and puts forth effort. He's a definite step up from someone like Kenny Thomas, for example, who for a variety of reasons ended up sitting at the end of the bench for no real reason.

----------------------------------

Looks like Hawes is going to have another really good game. Maybe we could give him a post-hypnotic suggestion or something and make him believe he's playing the Clippers every night?

:)

Udrih is playing so well but whay is it that every announcer says OOD-RICK?
