The notes on this forum are beginning to sound like those of the late 80's and 90's. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that because as fans of perpetual bottom feeders, we need to grasp at whatever straws we can find even if it boarders on the irrational. Even I am beginning to mistrust my judgment as I have stated we are on the cusp of greatness with a great #4 pick and a nice trade to fill another hole. Maybe not. In any case, just read what is being said. The only difference is that there are a few people full of what is appropriate gloom and doom and they may be more accurate that anyone here.
I want the season over with. I want Boogie to calm down and not feel any burden of the team. Don't we win or loss depending on how he plays? Of course we do. I want our other young guys to perform at a skill level appropriate to their age and skill level and not to the fantasied expectations of the fans. I want stability in the coaching staff whether I like them or not. There is no hurry to greatness as long as we are on the proper path which I think we are. If we are are going to be great, which is a possibility, it will come in several years.
And finally, the success or failure of this team over the next five years or so will depend on the support they have from the ownership. I personally think this is a huge factor and maybe the most important aspect holding this team back. It's not Tyreke's jumper, it's not Boogies propensity to foul, and it's not the lack of development of Honeycutt or Jimmer. People tend to forget what ownership has to do with the success or the failure and this is probably because most of us are just fans of the game. Ownership in any company whether it be Apple or Raleys, the owners are critical to the success or failure of the franchise or company. It is also something that sports fans are least able to discuss with any surelty.
This summer will tell us a lot much as last summer did.
