The notes on this forum are beginning to sound like those of the late 80's and 90's. I am not saying there is anything wrong with that because as fans of perpetual bottom feeders, we need to grasp at whatever straws we can find even if it boarders on the irrational. Even I am beginning to mistrust my judgment as I have stated we are on the cusp of greatness with a great #4 pick and a nice trade to fill another hole. Maybe not. In any case, just read what is being said. The only difference is that there are a few people full of what is appropriate gloom and doom and they may be more accurate that anyone here.

I want the season over with. I want Boogie to calm down and not feel any burden of the team. Don't we win or loss depending on how he plays? Of course we do. I want our other young guys to perform at a skill level appropriate to their age and skill level and not to the fantasied expectations of the fans. I want stability in the coaching staff whether I like them or not. There is no hurry to greatness as long as we are on the proper path which I think we are. If we are are going to be great, which is a possibility, it will come in several years.

And finally, the success or failure of this team over the next five years or so will depend on the support they have from the ownership. I personally think this is a huge factor and maybe the most important aspect holding this team back. It's not Tyreke's jumper, it's not Boogies propensity to foul, and it's not the lack of development of Honeycutt or Jimmer. People tend to forget what ownership has to do with the success or the failure and this is probably because most of us are just fans of the game. Ownership in any company whether it be Apple or Raleys, the owners are critical to the success or failure of the franchise or company. It is also something that sports fans are least able to discuss with any surelty.

This summer will tell us a lot much as last summer did.

I hate LA. Freaking hate LA. For those who don't have the Kings feed, as Cisco was being escorted into the tunnel, obviously still reeling, a LA fan with a Blake Griffin t-shirt shakes his shirt at Cisco and laughs. Class, dude. Real class.

In case I haven't mentioned it, I freaking hate LA.
Just thought I'd mention that this foul, or actually, he was fouled twice, happened right below us, and Cisco was definitely groggy when he got up, and had a dazed look on his face as he left the court.

Yeah, I don't want to hear that IT is part of the no-defense lineup. He has bothered CP3 for two games in a row. Granted, Paul was looking to pass first, but he still couldn't get off when he was trying to score versus IT in the second half. Paul got off once he had Jimmer on him. (To nobody's surprise.)
Being as impartial as I can be, I can safely say, than no one on the Kings had any effect on Paul. He basicly did whatever he wanted to do out there. And that includes IT, who Paul burned in the first quarter along with Tyreke. I think if either of them had been scoring the ball, they probably wouldn't have been held out that long. Paul ran the pick and roll over and over and over again, and we never stopped it. Our bigs may have looked terrible on the defensive side of the ball, but they were probably dizzy from spinning in circles trying to figure out where the next penetration was coming from.

Wait what, who? Please don't compare Honeycutt to TMac. Or please tell me you mean a different TMac. Maybe Teddy MacIntosh your geeky buddy you play pickup ball wiht on weekends or something.

Honeycutt has been projected as a rolpelayer in the NBA. Defense, hit threes, maybe make the occasional pass. I've never heard anyone make claims he can be a star of any kind. Just a potentially helpful rotation guy.
Its always hard to project how good players coming out of Howlands system at UCLA are going to be, but they have a history of being better Pro's than college players. All I know about Honeycutt, is that he was a very good defensive player, and he was also a very good passer. Offensively, he did show promise in spurts here and there, but never ever looked like someone that would be an offensive juggernaut. Bottom line is, I'm not about to predict what the final product will be. But I'm not going to bet against him either.

You better review the tape. Paul went off when IT wasn't in there. IT did an excellent job on him, just as he did the previous game.
Sorry Kingster, Paul blew by IT several times in the game. Hey, they were setting good picks for him, and Paul is an all star. When he's on his game I doubt anyone can keep him in front of them. Our biggest problem was the very tight pick and roll they ran down our throat.

I'm taking total responsibility for the loss. I've been to three games now, and we've lost all three. So it must be me. Our defense was just horrible. Yes, we got beat on the perimeter, but our transition defense was pittiful. It felt like they dunked the ball about a thousand times. Then in the fourth quarter, it seemed that anyone that tried to pass the ball, had a uniform confusion thing going on. Some of the expressions on Cousins face were priceless. Several times after we got called for another foul, Cousins would just stand there with his head in his hands, and then come up with this, WTF are we doing here look on his face. He was totally frustrated.

I think Tryeke left his brain in the locker room at the half. I was talking to Unic03, and we were both shocked to look up and see that Tyreke had 14 points. I thought maybe some one on the team had given him some of there's. I would like to say I enjoyed the experience, but I'd be lying. I did enjoy the company though. It was a good group. Also, aside from our group, there were a lot of people walking around with Kings shirts on. And I mean a lot.

Isaiah played very good D on Paul... the only reason he got past him at all was because the Clippers were setting a ridiculous amount of screens to get Paul free...some of them illegal even.
