KINGS PLACE BOBBY JACKSON ON INJURED LIST;
CLAIM EDDIE HOUSE OFF WAIVERS

January 7, 2005

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- The Sacramento Kings today placed guard Bobby Jackson on the injured list and claimed Eddie House off waivers, announced Kings President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.

A 6-1, 175-pound guard, House averaged 3.2 points and 1.0 assists in five games for the Milwaukee Bucks before being released on January 5. Prior to that, House played for the Charlotte Bobcats this season, averaging 11.1 points, 1.8 assists, and 1.85 steals in 13 games for the expansion franchise.

House was originally selected by the Miami Heat in the second round (37th pick overall) of the 2000 NBA Draft, and is averaging 7.1 points, 1.7 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over his five-year career.

Bobby Jackson underwent successful surgery of a major ligament in his left wrist on Monday (January 3, 2005) in which two pins were placed in the wrist bone to stabilize the ligament. Jackson could be out of action for up to 16 weeks.

Hopefully hes in uni in time for the NO game, because we know there'll be plenty of open garbage time for him in it.

I think Eddie is a great addition to the Kings. The only problem is, is he a good ballhandler?

yup he sure can and his pretty quick as well... but hiis the shoot first pg... but he should give us energy of the bench... he always reminded me of a young bobby jackson... but of course not as good :P

i have a feeling his gonna fit well into our style of play...

It should be interesting, to say the least. Maybe the competitive streak in Bibby will make both of them work harder and smarter.

:D

but how are they in laws? did bibby's sister marry him?

i actually thought they married awhile back....

and like bobby he can play the 2 guard as well.... but i dun think we need him for hat when we have mo and special k playing there :D

Hes good, he can put up points fast, I think his passing will get better just playing for the kings. Welcome Eddie!

Every new Kings player turns into a good passer. Just look at Brad Miller!

I wouldn't be surprised if he's in uniform tonight. Hopefully this game and tomorrow night will be a blow out and House can get some playing time.

That will be intersting how many minutes he will averge with the Kings. He will proably go on the floor when Doug and Bibby arent. Looks like Evans and Martin will be seeing the bench a little bit more.:(

I doubt it. House is too small to play the 2 guard position and will probably only spell Bibby and Doug at the point if someone is in foul trouble. I don't think you will see a dip in either Evans or Martin's playing time.

My guess is that he's not going to jump right onto the court and will most likely not see much if any PT until he's had at least a chance to learn the system. The Princeton offense isn't something you can just pick up and run with - not the way the Kings play it. I'm sure Adelman and staff will want him to have some practices before they throw him into the mix except for, as Ryle has pointed out, foul trouble substitutions.

Welcome, Eddie!

Doubt if he will play tonight. They might wnat him to at least LOOK at the play book before playing him. Maybe in NO. Not a bad pick guy wiht an upside, instant chemestry and a good shot. Probably he best the Kings could hopefor at this point and possibly a big supprise down the road.

Is he a PG ?
Pretty much anyone 6'1" is listed as a PG. (Iverson is the only exception to that I can think of.) Let's just say he's as much of a PG as Bobby was on this team.

I'm happy with this!

When he was cut from Charlotte averaging 11 points, I thought they were crazy.

Welcome Eddie!
