[Game] Kings @ Celtics - 1/30/13 - 4:30 PST

We all want Cousins to get the ball, but passing it to him and then having everyone stand around in the exact same position they were in when Cousins first received the ball isn't going to do anything for us.

MOVE.

I have never seen a team stand around as much as we do. When someone has the ball the majority of the time everyone else just sits around and watches. It's disgusting.

Tyreke will be such a beast when he plays for an actual coach.

Hopefully he sticks with the Kings under new ownership.

I do feel bad for the guy though, his development has been horribly stunted by Westphail and Natt...er...Smart. And the same goes for all our youngins.

Coach Smart up by 20 in the third quarter....puts in 4 undersized guards and a pf for fun. Coach Rivers up by 25 in the 3rd.... keeps good lineups in the game and is constantly coaching every mistake that is made.

Someone pointed it out earlier, but it bears repeating. You can see the difference between a smart coach and coach Smart.

This reminds me of the 3 guard lineups from earlier in the year. Everyone scrambling all over the place trying to defend someone as one switch leads to a couple mismatches.

Yes because they are actually putting some effort and heart into the game. Good things happen...

There's more to it than that if you understand the game and matchups, how spacing actually works.

It's not simply effort and heart, lol.

Jimmer didn't shoot, but do you guys agree that he moved and passed the ball well?

I agree. From what I know of him in college and in the NBA, he seems more interested in making the team function well and less about his personal stats. For instance in this game, he hasn't been open for a shot so he doesn't go into some mad dribbling action (probably can't) to force a shot for himself.

As to Smart, I actually see what he is trying to do but he is waaaaaay over his head. He should be coaching college ball. I can't be angry at a guy who got hired when he shouldn't have been.

That wasn't goaltending because it was blocked first

Edit: Replay looked like maybe it wasn't blocked but I think that's what the refs thought happened.

Wait a sec, Jimmer has consistently good shot selection? He doesn't play much hence the short term memory on this one perhaps. To be fair Jimmer is often asked to do too much in my opinion. If Jimmer makes it in this league I suspect it's going to be off the ball.
