When the Cavs started to take control of the game. I thought a lot of it had to do with their length. 18 rebounds against their bigs is crazy.
Domas is just so special - in no way does he look remotely athletic, but time after time he just comes up with these miraculous rebounds. I have no idea how he does it, but it’s a game changer.

He's a bad-ass: A center who gets 18 rebounds against the longest team in the league, who can push a fast break and hit a teammate with a bounce pass off the dribble for a beautiful assist, throw a wrap around pass for another, and then if that doesn't do it for you he'll bury a three pointer in your face. When he's not killing the opposing team he's picking his teammates off the floor to get them up the court faster.

Domas is a man of steel. He doesn't look that big but damm....he's so strong. Keegan was hot from outside and that's what the Kings needed w/ Fox out. Huerter make a bunch of them as well. Barnes being physical getting to the line is breath of fresh air for this team whenever they missed shots. I hope Davion Mitchell work on his shot more though, he doesn't seem consistent. He's always open for the shot any time....but he's got to make them pay especially those wide open ones. Domas is the player of the game obviously. His defense down the stretch is the key...i guess he's mad he missed quite a few free throws and so he's making it up by playing better D at the end. I have never seen a player that value every possession and play with so much passion like Domas. He really care about winning and helping this team get over the hump.

As great of a win as this was, what’s so encouraging is this wasn’t even an “A” game. We had at least 5 turnovers that I can think of that were of the unforced variety, 18 total on the game. We also missed 12 free throws (20-32) well below our season average. Defensively we were probably an “A” or close to it though.

Sabonis was a stud, doing everything - rebounding, scorring, defending, assisting and overall leadership with 18 points, 18 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks, 3 steals. Thats an all star stats...
Murray was on fire, Barnes and Huerter did great job too, Mitchell was good defensively.

To be a great team you need constancy - look at best teams on NBA, like Warriors, Bucks, Celtics >> they have core players who play together for many years, and know each other well. So the Kings need to keep best players, raise bonds between, learn from mistakes and probably great things will come around.

So i kept points to all the Cavs fabs around me that despite the fact that if felt like the Cavs dominated 2nd and 3rd quarters, they were only up by 1 going into the 4th. That should have scared them... Im telling you, that arena was loud as hell until ~4 min left in the game, when the breath slowly went out of the place. It was the quietest most under the radar soul snatching ive ever witnessed. Most of the fans didnt even realize when the Kings took the lead, it was so insidious and crazy. The kings looked of kilter for 2.5 quarters and reeling on an away court. And all of the sudden you look up and they win by 11. Its like tge whole team adopted the keegan murray approach of beating the tar off the other team without them realizing it.
I see Keegan playing some good D and spacing the floor on offense. It would be great to see him get a few more looks at the rim, but overall I'm not too worried. His minutes have been solid even though he isn't stuffing the Stat sheet.

A good grind it out win, after putting themselves behind the 8 ball from the free throw line. Solid veteran minutes from Dellavedova. Murray looks like himself again

Personally, I don’t think everything he does shows in the box score. I think he moves well without the ball, plays smart defense, and plays within the flow of the offense. He may not be excellent in every category, but what he’s doing really contributes to winning games. When he went out tonight with foul trouble was when the Cavs started their comeback.
I think it’s additionally hard for any rookie to play on a winning team. There’s a lot more pressure on him, and he doesn’t have as much room to make mistakes. I think he has a lot of room to take his game to the next level, but he’s focusing more on being a team player right now, as he should.
Murray has been playing excellent defense for the better part of a month now. Far better wing defense especially than I think we were expecting.
And he's doing the best he can with his offensive role. There's just not a ton of room for him to have more than 8-10 shots a game right now. I do think it's pretty tough for a top 5 pick to fit in with a good team... because you're coming from College, being the man (which Keegan absolutely was with the biggest workload in the country last year) and now he's being asked to be a C&S spacer for Fox/Sabonis/Monk/Barnes. I do think his willingness to fit in and not have a typical top 5 pick ego has helped this team really gel.
Hopefully as the season progresses we can start seeing more plays ran for him.

It's a crazy a** world when I would prefer Mike Brown over our current HC. I know we were missing our best player but that loss was totally unacceptable. They should've made some adjustments. I know Sac is improved but you can't let them go on a 19-0 run to close out a game in your building. With that said I was very impressed with Sabonis and their rookie Murray. Can't remember Sabonis playing this well when he was in Indiana. They have a really nice team.
Mike Brown and Mike Malone were great together. Mike Brown by himself is not that guy.
The difference is their team has a number of knockdown shooters who are also passable defenders. Keegan Murray, Huerter, Barnes, Lyles, even Monk.
People can hate on Mike Brown all they want, but the Kings haven’t been to the playoffs in 16 years, are the 5th ranked offense, and currently 5th in the West. They started out the year horribly on defense and are currently 21st but are 12th in the last 10 games. If their offense continues to perform this way and their defense continues to improve, they can finish with a top 4 seed in the West and still have some trade flexibility. If that happens Brown will probably win coach of the year.
The loss was bad. The Kings aren't.

I'll be honest, I'm not sure I ever really thought the Kings could have a 14-6 stretch in them anytime soon. Just absolutely bonkers it's 24 games into the Brown era with a new roster.
