Kings @ Bulls Game Thread

Will be a good one today. Would be nice to experience a winning streak for a change. The win in Boston was big for many reasons but also it coveres many weaknesses that Kings have and that will be exposed tonight again.

9 days to the trade deadline left which meand only 9 more days of reading or listening to "garbege" that is floating around. Many people with lively fantasies or just high on something make up all these scenarios about who will trade whom for whom and so on and so on. Some of them are called journalists and get actually paid to do that:rolleyes:. Currenty, we only have about 253835 threads that cover this particular topic. More are to come.

The fact is that only one person (GP) knows wheather something will happen and he will surley not take any part on seculations. He will let us know if and when something happens. Bottomline - there is nothing we can do about either way. Just kill some time.

Back to the Bulls who do not suck anymore. They figure the way to win, they are confident and young and very athletic. In one word - trouble.What we have going on for us is the talent and the experience. Their guards will cause a lots of trouble. It will be a close game and we need to stick around and try to steal it by avoiding and "goaltending/interfearence" if possible.

CW - hard to ask for more even though it is needed especially on the defensive end. He needs to try do control the paint somehow so we do not get "dunked" out of the building. I do not think that we can afford another subpar shooting tonight. Another TD always possible
Bibby - same story here. Defense a suspect - offense is great so whatever prevails tonight. Need to hit the free throws. It is not funny anymore
Brad - should be very motivated tonight. Expect the usual including the complaining to the morons (ups, referees - my bad)
Mobley - not a team player but shooting well lately and doing other things. Might actually have to force the issue tonight. Hopefully, healthy enough to stay with quick Bulls guards.
Barnes - will provide everything but scoring. Hopefully, he can stay in control and make good decisions.

Darius - hopefully knee feels OK. Could make himself nice birthday present.

House - as little as neccessary please !

oooo i forgot all about Eric P. he did torch us last time out didn't he...

I have a lot of confidence in Barnesy tonight...regardless or not if he actually starts (some say Mo may start--i don't like that idea)...i think every game that Matt has had to start he's taken advantage of the opportunity...woohoo GO MATT!!!

as for the game itself...DEFENSE & REBOUND...its amazing what kind of opportunities you can get on the offensive end when you do those two words

I'm not scared of the bulls but nobody better discount them. They have really turned their season around and are one of the best defensive teams in the league now. The first matchup we did struggle with them and that was before they were using Gordon alot as their premier bench guy at the 1/2 position. I don't think any of you are discrediting them, but I'd just like to point out that they are very good against the West lately including beating the Mavs in Dallas.
 
Did anyone realize, that the top 6 records in the league, 5 of them are averaging above 100 ppg? Only San Antonio is averaging less. Detroit is 7th and is way below and so is Houston who has started winning more with O and less with D.
 
the bulls are an awesome team, i hope we dont go in with the attitude that this is some kind of practice game. half the team are rookies. they have nothing but growing to do. kirk henrich and loul deng are awesome shooters. eddy curry can light it up too. tyson chandler is a monster on the boards
 
If the Kings play swarming D like they did in that 4th quarter vs. Boston, we'll have no problems. Gotta treat it like the playoffs... I wanna catch Phoenix!

^its clear you dont watch bulls games. im a kings fan! and trust me they(kings) will win the game. but dont expect it to be some kind of blowout, because the bulls are a decent team!
 
I agree with Alacron. If the Kings play D like in 4th Qtr of the Boston game, Kings should be able to win. Last season's game @Chicago was an exciting one. No Brad, Webber and Bobby got hurt in the middle of the game. I remember Vlade did a good game winning block! hehe. If the effort is there...the Kings will do well tonight.

i don't think by him saying "the bulls scare me" means that he has ZERO confidence in the kings...it just means he thinks the bulls are a good team thats on their way up...and are capable of beating anybody...and again that doesn't mean he doesn't have confidence in this kings team
 
I know that Bulls' a good team. They're one of the surprising team this year and if the Playoff starts today, they'll be in it?

But I'm not scare of the Bulls. I'm not really scare of any team in the NBA...from the Spurs to the Hawks. I know that Kings can lose to any team in the NBA because it's the NBA. You can't expect to win all 82 games. Fearing a team isn't going to help your confidence and may help you lose more games.

I'm with VF...I hope the Kings don't have that attitude.

Let's start this winning streak...GO KINGS!!!

Interestingly enough - or not - the ONLY ones to verbalize that kind of attitude have been some fans.

Right now the Kings are not overlooking anyone. They're not dumb. They fully realize they need to get back on the winning track and they need to do focus on each and every game.

But they aren't SCARED of them, thank God. If you walk into an arena afraid of the team you're going to face, I can just about guarantee you'll walk out with a loss.
 
Does anyone here think the Kings will be LAZY in the 1st half- tonight?

I predict the BULLS will lead at the Half.

This game falls in the line of previous Kings wins.. play sloppy in the 1st Half then try to crank it up

But, get real people .... we just played Phoneix, Seattle and Dallas .... what the heck is there to be scared of ???????????????????????????

Sounds to me like some of you King's fans are EASILY INTIMIDATED.

Our Kings can go TOE-to-TOE with anybody and hold their own and may even suprise a few of you.

You've already lost if you feel the other team is better then yours.

who said anything about being better? all i said is that this isnt the same bulls as years past. they actually come to play! btw they have beat alot of good teams. dallas, minnesota(not that good), lakers(when they had kobe), Utah, Washington, Boston etc etc. last time we played them they scored 106 points on us. they are a well rested team and bring energy off the bench. 8 players average 20 mins a game. if they make it to the playoffs their are gonna be one of the more energetic teams because of how they share minutes. just be prepared for a good game okay!

Prediction

A few predictions:

--Kings work the Bulls with high screen pick and rolls: Webber scores more points in the paint than from the perimeter [sounds like a dream huh?]. He shoots near 50% from the field.

--Kings get outrebounded by less than ten. That should be enough.

--Either Barnes or Mo has a career rebounding night.

--Brad makes a # of key jumpers down the stretch.

--Brick gives Adelman an A because of how well he uses his bench tonight.

I don't get to watch many Bulls games .... only when they're on Nat'l TV and that's about as many Championship rings our king's have (ouch that one hurt, but if you can't pick on your own team ... get another life)

I do follow the NBA ... enough to know that the Bulls got off to a very rough start but Skiles has got them boyz up there BALLIN'.

Nonetheless ... I give the VOTE OF CONFIDENCE to our King's ALL THE WAY AROUND !!!
 
at least tonights game is early in the evening (well for me anyway)...im really not in the mood to wait til 10 or 10:30 for this game to start

thats one thing i love about road trips out East...early start time for Sha
