Although, on second thought, for certain matchups, that may be a good lineup to play. Interesting to see the DEPTH we have now (or will when everyone is back) and what combinations can play well together....

King's Destiny ...

I am convinced there is a "Higher Power" at work here and it is written in the stars that the King's will NEVER BE 100% HEALTHY !!!

Bonzi Wells is on IL as well, so they have 3 main guys out. Same as us so its a wash.
well Bonzi has been falling out of the rotation before he was injured if that does anything for you.

IMHO people need to quit focusing on the injuries. They're a part of the game. If you recall, aside from Bobby we were pretty healthy for a good part of the season. Injuries are going to happen. You can cry about them or you can deal with them. The Kings will deal with them, just as they have so many times before.

Besides, it's not the injuries in March that are critical. It's the injuries in May and June that really, really matter.

i agree that people are focusing a little bit too much on the injuries (myself included) and i also agree that its "better" to have the injuries now than later...but i know for me personally....the injuries wouldn't bother me so much right now if it weren't for the fact that we got 3 new Kings like a week and a half ago...we've barely had practice time if any at all...and now that we are home and can get a nice chunck of practice time under our belt guys are still injured or getting injured....we have to be the best we can be for the playoffs and how are we suppose to get to that point when everyones sitting out practices

it just gets so old....i mean every team has injuries...and IMO it seems like this year we've had so many around the NBA (injuries to KEY players at that...more so than usual...IMO)....but damn...when is it gonna stop!?

when everyone is healthy we have 2 sets of decent teams.

bibby, miller, mobley, peja, songailia

bobby, evans, corliss, skinner, thomas

honorable mentions; house, martin

i really think we need to give tag to a team that can use his talent. we are doing to him what sixers did to skinner.

Good Point ...

I never really looked at it that way, but you're right.

Although, I still think we'll need Tag down the stretch and in the playoffs (now, don't you dare die from laughin' too much) ... seriously, that's 6-fouls and a big body that can be used in combo with other big bodies (defensive situations).

Oops.

Sorry, I should have been a tad more specific, I guess.

I wasn't really responding to you so much as to the people who were getting angry about not having a complete team.

And I understand your angst completely. I, too, have trouble dealing with people who actually think there's life outside Kings basketball.

Jim Crandall on Fox40 sports:

Jim Crandall - Kings going to be way short of players. Kenny Thomas has traveled back east for personal reasons. He should be back in time for the game Friday. Bibby, Mobley, Miller and Jackson didn't practice today because of injuries. They say Bibby should play tomorrow but not Mobley or Miller.

Brian Skinner (Pharaoh) - When asked what kind of team the Kings are aiming to be, he said "Hard-nosed defense." Crandall almost fell over, saying he didn't think he'd EVER heard those words used to describe the Kings. Skinner smiled and said they were definitely going to focus on defense.

Adelman said while some people are talking about home court advantage, he wants to make sure we make it to the playoffs first. He said that IF everyone is healthy, the Kings are going to cause other teams a lot of problems.
Thanks for the info, VF!

Nice to hear Skinner talk about "hard nosed defense". That's what the Kings need to win more games and the playoffs. I already know Skinner will be playing hard-nosed defense. :)

I think Brian himself will try to bring hard-nosed defense, but he has to convince everybody else to join him for our overall team defense to pick up. You can still be a bad defensive team with Brian Skinner on the roster -- in fact I think basically every team he has been on thus far would fit that profile. Can't turn it himself -- needs to convince the rest of our rotation players.
