Jordan looks ready to deal:

I've been hoping The Kings might try and acquire Wallace. He isn't exactly a franchise changing player but he's probably about the best caliber player The Kings can realistically get without giving up Evans or Cousins. Also, one plus about Wallace is that he started out as a King, so maybe he wouldn't be as bitter and reluctant about playing here as some others.

So you guys want to get a player that's slowly starting to become injury prone? You know how many times he hits the deck and constantly attacks the basket? You think if we want to go for a SF it would be on the could shoot not another slasher/athletic forward. I pass on Gerald Wallace, give me Stephen Jackson instead.

Okay, let's do Jackson then. I don't really care who it is at this point. I just want SOMEONE, lol.

I'd prefer Tyrus Thomas to G-Wallace. If we could somehow land Augustin and Ty Thomas while retaining our core 5 of Evans, Cousisn, JT, Casspi and Whiteside then we just fleeced MJ.

Because what we need is another undersized power forward for Westphal to plug in at center at the first given opportunity. Are Landry and Jackson not enough for you?

Is it just me or does Jordan look like he has jaundice, or some kind of liver diease? His eyes are REAL yellow looking. Happens with alcoholics too.. Friends mother died because of a shot liver from alcoholism, and her eyes looked just like Jordan's in that pic from the link.

Because we need another sweet, stroking SF from deep n the prime of his career....er wait....yeah we're talking Gerald Wallace here right.....right, Wallace does nothing for the LONG TERM betterment of this franchise.

Wallace's 3-pt stroke will never be confused with Peja's but he's gotten better from long range and plays defense like its no one's business.

Tyrus Thomas on the otherhand, is yet another tweener forward, albeit slightly more athletic than most but still a tweener.

MJ really wants a PG not named Augustein, we would have to give up beno at the very least to bring him in. Beno is dam well holding us together and whilst its a move towards more youth it is not going to win us any games which is what we all want. If we can get DJ and GW for beno, garcia or so then that might lead us to a few more wins

Actually you need to do your homework. He's actually been injured less as he's gotten older. He's only missed a handful of games in the in the last few years. Last year he appeared in 76 games and averaged 10 rebounds a game from the SF position. Along with almost 2 blocked shots and 2 steals a game. He shot just under 38% from 3pt land. Most of his injured years were when he was younger. He's learned to pace himself, and as a result, the injuries have become fewer. He's an outstanding defender. People just take rumors or reputations from the past and run with them. The dude is only 28 years old, and has been an all star. He's someone that the young players would listen to.

Please! We already have Jackson, Landry, Thompson, Dalembert, and Cousins. We don't need another undersized PF. Wallace is a SF. And he's a SF that plays both endes of the floor.

Good one. But no really, despite that he's only 28, I don't want him on this team because he just would be another "Landry" type of player that would not fit on this team unless there are shooters to help him space the floor for his drive game. Say all you want about his improved 3 point shot, defense and what not but it's pretty clear to me atleast, that this isn't the way to go. You have your opinion and you stick to it, as I have mine and there's nothing else to debate about.

But Wallace is a ferocious rebounder. Check his rebounding stats since he arrived in Charlotte - stunning! Now, if you think we now have enough players attacking the boards, I'll respectfully listen, but I don't think you really ever have enough. Wallace may be best rebounding SF in the entire league and puts Donte and Casspi to shame in that area - at least at this juncture. Gerald would fill a major weak spot over the current inconistent wing players on Kings. Landry is very different as a PF who is best suited as a 6th man and a damn good one in that role with more talent as an offensive rebounder than he gets credit for. I side solidly with Baja on this one as thinking I'd love to have Wallace back for a variety of reasons.

I like Tyrus Thomas but given our current locker room situation I don't think bringing in another reputed knuckle-head is a wise idea right now. He's also an erratic energy player with a boatload of defensive potential but limited offensive skills which, again, we seem pretty well stocked with already. If we're going to makea major acquisition it should be someone who's going to steady the ship rather than the other way around and it should be someone who is established enough in the league that we're not taking our chances and hoping for the best. Things need to get better, there's not a lot of margin for error.

It also seems unlikely that Charlotte would be willing to deal Thomas since that team is in nearly as much chaos as we are right now. The furthest they've ever gotten is the first round of the playoffs and they already seem to be regressing from that level of success. They traded their franchise center for Tyson Chandler and then let him go less than a year later so I'm not sure I understand Jordan's suprise at the lack of success this year. Not that Okafor is an All-Star, but how far do you expect to get with Nazr Mohammad as your starter? So anyway, if anyone is on the trade block it's going to be a veteran like Wallace because he's relatively expensive and he's got a lot of miles on his legs. He'd probably be looking for a change about now anyway. The young players are what you keep in that situation. They'll probably want a draft pick out of a Wallace deal but it doesn't have to be our pick. Plenty of teams have traded for mid to late first round picks and then flipped those picks to another team. Landry might be attractive, Dalembert is a big expiring, probably we trade one of our young SF since Wallace would become the starter.

That is perfectly fine with me. You two are obviously entitled to your own opinions and if you want Wallace back, that's your decision. I on the other hand do not want him on this team unless there were some shooters to compliment his driving game. I'll just leave it at that.
