Jordan Hill

Gtronic

Bench
IF we end up at the 4th spot and Griffin, Rubio, and Thabeet are gone.....what are your thoughts on Jordan Hill (6'10 PF from AZ)

Why would we do that when we have JT? I can see going BPA for Griffin or even Thabeet, but after those two there are no bigs that are worth drafting with a #4 pick when we already have JT and Spence.

Trade For More Picks

If we fall below #2, I believe we should trade out for more first round picks. The thunder, Wolves And Grizz have multiple first rounders. I guess it depends on how the lottery shakes out, but I would pick the best deal for two first rounders and get more young bodies. While this draft is weak on star players, I think there are many a role players/projects that can be stolen in this draft. Unless we make a big splashy trade, we are going to be pretty bad for another year or two, so why not give some kids a chance and see who shakes out.

Not interested and I say this as a huge Wildcats fan.

If we fall to 4 that would really suck.

There are 3 rules when drafting.

Rule 1
When drafting always take the best available player.

Rule 2
See rule 1

Rule 3
See rule 2

If the Kings get the 3, I think Thabeet makes more sense. There aren't many 7-3 guys lying around in CBB or Europe right now. He is raw but he fills a void the team really needs. Brandon does too but there are many more PG options in this draft and later drafts while 7-3 guys don't grow on trees especially ones that are good at filling in the lane.

I like Thabeet at #3 more than anyone, but I dont see the kings going in this direction.. its not a Petrie pick and he isnt the clear cut BPA..

Who makes more sense? Jennings who hasn't done much at all this year? After the 3rd pick to me there is a monster fall in talent and unless Wall joins the party which all indications point to no, getting the 4th pick would really suck this season to me.

Same here - I like Hill, but don't think he's going to give the returns expected from a top five pick. Draftexpress has nailed it: Better rebounding Chris Wilcox, which is good (assuming a peak-level Wilcox of course) but not top-5 worthy or beneficial for this team.

Also keep in mind that Petrie likes skilled, unselfish players who can shoot and pass - so those factors might rule out drafting Hill and/or Thabeet.

Lastly, the #4 would suck, as would #3...but I'm already assuming we pick that "low." Hope for the best, plan for the worst, never come away disappointed...

How could we not draft Hardin or Henderson if we aren't in the top 2? I'll be pissed if we get Rubio, but not as pissed as ill be if we get JORDAN HILL!!!!! Dude is servicable, but i can't shake the feeling that he isn't a true lotto pick.

I really don't see a point in drafting Jordan Hill. Do you really think he would be better than JT? If yes, than would he be better enough to warrant a top lottery pick? I think it would be much better to do something else with the pick. Maybe trade down, maybe draft Jennings, maybe try to trade up even.

I think that Hill can be a good player in the NBA. Maybe even a very good player. The problem is that it will probably take around 4 years to get there, and I don't think the Kings are looking for a four year project at this point. The same could be said of Thabeet. Both players have only 6 years of organized basketball under their belt. Offensively, Hill is ahead of Thabeet. Defensively, well, Thabeet is 7'3". Hill by the way is not a bad defender at the college level.

To me, if you end up with the fourth pick in the draft, God forbid, then forget about doing what your expected to do, and go get a player that you think can actually make an impact on the team. Forget the criticism of the pundits, which Petrie usually does anyway, and shock the Kingdom. Lets bring back the days of when the Kings announce, That with the fourth pick in the draft, the sacramento Kings pick! And we all turn to whoever we're with and say, " Who's That? " And, how do you pronounce his name?
