i know this is premature but
if the kings sneak into the lotttery this year.. is it time to shake up the line up?

Bibby_Is_Clutch said:Its very premature... we havent even seen this lineup play a full season. Our starting five is one of the best when healthy. Our bench needs help and they may be the ones who drag us into the lottery.

It was a dumb idea from the start. Think they have a good shot to make the playoffs. But they won't go anywhere even if they do, and they're not a young bunch which is going to get better and better. So shake away at your leisure Geoff! Or if you can't bring yourself to do it, get the hell out of the way and let me take a shot at it!![]()

SacTownKid said:I don't know about dumping everything we've got in an attempt to go young. If this team ends up below the expectations of the Maloofs and Petrie you better believe there will be some shakeups. I actually like the move Geoff Petrie made this season. We have a lot of talented players in our starting lineup that have value in this league. We at least have the option of packaging a few things together to bring in the talent we need without completely leaving us as a skeleton of a basketball team.
Signing Shareef for so cheap was great, not just because we can easily trade him, but we can use his small deal to bring in some highly paid stars to surround him with.

Condescending tone aside, bargaining chips are only bargaining chips if you do any bargaining. You only mention the Bobby Jackson trade to support your argument. I liked that trade when it happened, and I love it now. Bonzi's gold, as far as I'm concerned. However, you managed to skip right over the trade that brought the first three of the supposed bargaining chips -- you know, the one guy who's underproducing and the other two who aren't even playing -- that are still on the roster and still have horrible contracts.KMart23 said:uh.... what are you talking about? we stocked up w/ some good healthy bargaining chips this past summer.

KMart23 said:i'm glad he got rid of webb b4 his wheels fell off. how can you have 15-20 mill sit on the bench NOT producing AND when he did come back he was a huge defensive liability.
GGG, if you knew anything about bargaining it is EASIER to package a deal when the contracts are smaller.
grandmastapoop said:Right. And, as I recall, so was Sean Elliot and possibly Avery Johnson. Really, they should have been kicked out of the Lottery. It totally ruined the point. That still irks me.
