so the rockets have
miller, yao, scola, anderson, patterson for their front line.
"Thats a championship!"
Quote from Brad Miller himself after learning about his sign & trade deal to the Kings in 2003.
Crazy money IMO, but good for him. He had his problems here, but I still like him as a person and he can be effective. Kmart and B52 back with Rick. Could be fun to watch.
Let me get this straight. If yao somehow gets injured or retires both highly possible. The Rockets couls have Kevin Martin and Brad Miller starting for them? uhm hello 17 win season for the Rockets. I am crossing them off the list of teams we have to jump.

He would've been right too most likely barring injuries.
So you had them on the list before, but you're crossing them off because they added depth in the frontcourt? I can understand not liking the signing, but I don't see how it makes them worse.

At the time yes, that statement was valid...pre-Webber injury...we WERE on our way that season to probably winning it all...or at least a trip back to the WCF's against the Spurs. But...alas...life happened...
With the signing of Brad, the Rockets have moved to the top 3 teams in the west. Unless somehow the Spurs makes a few moves or Splitter over achieves greatly, I don't see them being in the top 4 anymore.
The Rockets has the length and depth to match up with the lakers. Yao is still one of the biggest mismatches in the game and now they have a legit 7 footer to share minutes with him. I think Jordan Hill will do fine off the bench for Scola and they still have Kevin Martin + Aaron Brooks.
They also have 2 perimeter defenders in Battier + Ariza. People can say Miller has gone soft, but the Rockets is full of bulldogs and I see Miller picking it up as well to play more like his younger days. Rockets will give the lakers all they can handle and possibly knock them out.
