The Kings don't have much money, so they are making moves hoping that the NBA suddenly changes into a 6'6'' and under league.
Makes more sense than the Maloof's finances!

But hey, we're one step closer to our dream lineup.
Salmons
Evans
Thornton
Waiters
IT
(AAU) championship, here were come!
Waiters?
Since the Kings never worked him out I find it hard to believe he's the pick. It would not have been hard to get him in for a little face time with the staff before the draft.
But it's possible the Kings are picking for another team and Grant just happened to overheard his name...
I doubt Grant overheard anything... he is just taking a guess with the information he has...
If the Kings take Waiters, Evans should just start packing his things.
I just want to officially agree with this:I always used to like him, thought he made good points and he was a solid broadcaster compared to many other nba casters. The last few years though he has gone way downhill for me.
Thinks there is a lot of discussion with the #2 (Bobs) and the Kings (#5)
Deon Waiters is the guy, per Grant, unless somebody trades up before Kings to get him, or Cleveland takes him. They will select Waiters over MKG. Unless there is a huge deal there.
I have a sneaky suspicion the Kings are offering Tyreke + #5 for #2 (Robinson) + change.

David Stern: With the 5th pick...in the 2012 NBA draft.. the Sacramento Kings select Ron Bur...I mean, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist from the University of Kentucky.

My favorite moment of NBA draft afternoon was when a KHTK radio caller said, "Hi Peaches, you stinking Maloof mouthpiece." The screener missed cutting off the comment and it went out without a word back from Napear - just on to his next call. Most absurd, crazy moment was when some ESPN female interviewer asked Thomas Robinson's 9-year-old sister if she was, "happy to go to California, a long way from home, close to Disneyland." The cute little shy girl did not really say much in the bright live TV lights but all I could think of is how ironic "Disneyland" was thrown into the little chat - after renching Anaheim fiasco.
