[Game] [VSL Game 2] Kings vs. Bulls, 7/12/2015 5pm Pacific 8pm Eastern (NBATV)

Carter is going to struggle to get time. Between Schroder, Monk, LaVine, Ellis, and Nique ……. I think Carter is behind them all.

His best chance, at least on our team was showing he can be a back-up point. Even if we trade one of above, Nique looks to be the better primary ball handler. Carter with 3 assists and 4 Turnovers is not good. I love Carter’s D and want him to succeed but I’m not seeing where he gets time.

Good showing by all the guys that you want to see it from. Devin, Nique, Raynaud and IJ.

Devin and Nique combined for 20 rebounds.

Including Isaiah Crawford is just the type of player we need to make a Keon Ellis type leap. Probably not in the cards but he looked good tonight.

Cardwell looks like one of those “does things that aren’t in the box score” bigs. They get on the court sometimes but don’t go anywhere. It can be the Kings lack of legit point guard on the summer league roster but it doesn’t even seem like he has basic rim running in his bag. Seems like a good guy so I’m rooting for him but haven’t been impressed so far

Carter didn't even try to run the point, especially in the last two quarters. Perhaps by the coach's decision?
Nique's court vision is excellent, although he needs to work on his pinpoint passing.

Clifford had an excellent all around game. In particular, I loved the 12 rebounds. If he can get 2/3rds of that with the big club over the same number of minutes with decent points and assists he will benefit the Kings greatly.

I was disappointed the Kings coaching staff put Raynaud in the low post for most of this game. Especially in the summer league it's where centers go to die. I'd give a $1,000 bonus to a guard anytime he can get it to the center in the right place at the time. Note that in the 4th quarter the Kings coaching staff finally placed Raynaud at the high post around the three point line and gave him the ball and he had two consecutive assists. The first was to Clifford down low. The second was an outstanding one handed off the dribble bounce pass to Jones. Absolutely gorgeous pass for a 7 footer. They must put him in these positions more often to benefit his development and to make a big impact on the game.
