Offensively yes. Defensively not really. Don’t think I saw him box out once.Maxime’s feel for the game is already unreal from a rookie.
So DC in 3Q:
26 points on 9 shots
7 reb
3 assist
3 steals
4 turnovers
Is that good?
Man that hook by Maxime is beautiful
Coach already wasted it on a bad challengeNo challenge there? He didn’t look set
Kings have the chance to run Domas/Maxime PnRs this season lolRaynaud is so natural in the PnR. He's QUICK out of the pick and him being comfortable with the ball in his hands really gives him more options to finish
I'm counting on it; he looks willing and is a quick learner.Offensively yes. Defensively not really. Don’t think I saw him box out once.
The good news is his defensive fundamentals are terrible. Feet too wide, often flat footed, reaches instead of sliding to block the drive, doesn’t find his man to box out. His 5 years of experience shows as those things are items you learn in Jr. High.
I think if you fix those things, and I’m sure Doug will, he might be a better perimeter defender than anticipated. That and getter stronger he could be a diamond in the rough 2nd rounder.
I think Max is going to have to fix his defense first. Hopefully his position coach spends the entire summer working on his defensive slide and footwork.Kings have the chance to run Domas/Maxime PnRs this season lol
