Bhullar with the block! The Minister of Defense!
Ben and Nik are 4-5 on open threes in this game, and Ben had a lot of good defensive possessions. You settle Mclemore into a limited role, which he should have with Boogie, Rudy and DC in the starting lineup, and he will look as good as any 3&D wing outside of top dozen. If Kings can get one of those elite role players, then they definitely should do it. But getting rid of Mclemore shouldn't be a goal just for the sake of it. And Nik is a struggling rookie, so he probably won't bring back much better player, than can be simply signed for MLE-level money.Well,
Our SG rotation is garbage. One of Ben or Nik HAS to go this offseason. I dont care which. They are both interesting prospects, for different reasons, but we can't have those goofballs be our entire SG rotation and expect to win games.
Hollins over Sim? Why? Then I look at the +/- and see that he is the only one on the team with a positive in that department. My takeaway? +/- is garbage and should be thrown out as a stat!
As far as positives: Ray is quietly putting together a string of decent games. I think our PG rotation will be pretty decent once we get DC back.
Casspi is the truth.
JT can still rebound when Cuz isnt in there gobbling all them boards up.

in a truly shocking development we ONLY allow 116pts w/0 cuz.
Bhullar has skills. I suspect if he's able to get into NBA form, he's gonna surprise a lot of people.
He's too big and too slow, and I'm not just talking about fat. Humans aren't supposed to be that big and you can tell his body just reacts too slowly to what his brain is telling him to do.
It's ironic but he's just TOO big to ever be a useful player in the NBA.
I forget - what's the record for low # of posts in a game thread.... EVER... on KF's?
Less than this.I forget - what's the record for low # of posts in a game thread.... EVER... on KF's?
Ghorghe Muresan would beg to differ.
Classy.Muresan was never a fat load for most of his life putting all that stress on his joints.

I am of the opinion that Ben needs to slash more. He has the athleticism to do so, and if he gets good at it, opposing teams will give him the open three. You know, be like Casspi for a while.Ben and Nik are 4-5 on open threes in this game, and Ben had a lot of good defensive possessions. I think Ben gets a lot of open 3's already. I'm not comfortable at all when Ben puts the ball on the floor.. it's the same freight I have when Cuz brings tha ball up the floor.I am of the opinion that Ben needs to slash more. He has the athleticism to do so, and if he gets good at it, opposing teams will give him the open three. You know, be like Casspi for a while.
Ben doesn't deserve his minutes...at all. He's just our starting SG playing 25+mpg because we have no one better.. that's the most clean cut way I could put it without being harsh... although, it did sound a little harsh...The main things that kill it with Ben is his inconsistency. If his shots aren't falling, he's not contributing for the team AT ALL.The great difficulty is that I could pick him clean on the drive, let alone NBAers.
In any case, Karl clearly told him to try that when he took over. The results were sporadically impressive, mostly fugly.
In most ways I don't care except Ben can NOT be relied upon. Rather than start the next season actually relying upon him as our staring SG I would give him away for a bag of nachos. He could singlehandedly sink our playoff ship if he continues to wander through his career looking for people to pat him on the back and tell him go get 'em tiger. We need at least one, and I would prefer TWO steady wing options that you actually could depend on most nights. And then if Ben were retained as well, he could earn his minutes for once. If he blossomed, great. If he didn't...well, we might regret not having traded him while he had value, but the team goes on and the playoff hunt goes on.
All the ruinous stupidity of the late Maloof and early Vivek years has left us in a desperate position. We NEED to win now. Right now. Any potential weakness needs to be shored up, no matter who gets sacrificed. Cuz and Rudy and Karl will form the core. I hope Collison is deemed sufficient sight unseen by Karl. After that, no holes allowed. No weakness, no question marks. You get as solid, experienced, vetted out as you need to get to make a serious run at things in the West. Karl's too old to wait. Cuz is entering his prime. Gay only has a few years left before decline will set in. Kindergarten is out.
If management decrees that Players X, Y and Z are not going to be available for whatever horse**** reason, then that's whatever. But, anybody who suits up, who doesn't go balls out to win Karl his first game back in Denver, needs to be dragged into the street and shot, on the eleven o'clock news.On the bright side a tanktacular loss to Denver tomorrow secures the sixth slot in the lottery freeing up the Kings to thump the Lakers twice to end this miserable season.
