Some people can, and some people can't (appreciate a wonderful performance by an opponent against them). I don't like seeing my team let it happen to them. If Peyton Manning throws for 600 yards against the Raiders - I'm pissed that the Raiders let it happen to them. If a guy breaks a single game RBI record against the Giants - I'm pissed that the Giants let it happen to them. If a guy scores a dozen points in a quarter, and then my team lets him score another 25 on top of that... I'm beyond pissed that my team didn't adjust. We can all respect each others' right to look at it differently. I respect yours.

For the Kings, this game couldn't have been any more of an embarrassment but it was just so mesmerizing!

You can tell after the 3rd quarter, the entire team was in awe over what they just witnessed. These guys take pride in basketball so it makes sense that they forget the game itself and stay in shock over what they witnessed right before their eyes.

Really a crazy game.

Are you sure? It doesn't show me as being blocked. But then again, I only use twitter because often news breaks on it first. Some truth, much not.

So if you were at the game where Chamberlain scored over 100 points, and you were a die heart fan of the team he did it against, you would not have appreciated the opportunity to see that performance?

All that matters is that the fellas tried. On both sides they tried, in fact I think I read somewhere that the Kings actually played up to the third grade level. Each of them should get a ribbon for participating, win or lose. Winning or losing the game is not what matters. The style was awesome and a lot of baskets were made. Both teams made more than 100! It was wonderful.

As for the Knicks hypothetical: I think that year they had about a .350 winning percentage. They were the horrible garbage crap team in the league. Would the Knicks Chairman and CEO's PR girl back then have tweeted out "WOW - what a WiltTastic performance!" during that game??? Oh maybe - probably - if only we had twitter back then we would know. They are pretty good sports and take losing pretty cheerfully in NY. I bet the NY Knicks fans were just grateful to be part of history.

Yeah I'm over this one. I have no problem taking my hat off to an amazing shooting exhibition by Klay Thompson. Great game Klay. I think if my job was PR girl to the chairman and CEO of the Kings ... I might have just not said anything right then though. I would not wish to lend weight to the perception that my true loyalties were to the Bay Area team and that I didn't care about winning. And yeah I'm just not inclined to gush on the opponent when they crush me but I recognize that most people don't see it that way and it is ok.

I understand where you're coming from. For me, though, I didn't expect us to win anyway. In fact, I had dreaded watching the game. When we were tied I was ecstatic. When the tide started to turn, I was not happy but as it became more and more apparent that he was doing something special, I was distracted by the agony of losing and the basketball fan in me enjoyed the performance,
