Congratulations!! What a wonderful day.
Sleeping thru the night: One of my cousins had her parents say this about her when she was about 30 yo: "We're still waiting for her to sleep through the night."
(And it was true!)It really depends on the baby. I've heard people say their baby slept through the night within a couple of weeks, mine was around 3 months. That is, apparently, pretty typical. Mind you at 3 months, "sleeping through the night" meant about 5 hours. Which was heaven after only about 2 hours.

Consistently, for about 6-7 hours a night?
4 years. Really. It was a LONG 4 years.
Our little guy never needed much sleep until just after he turned 4 (he'll be 5 in February). Wouldn't go to sleep until 10 and was up about 2 times a night and wide awake by 5. Some nights I was ready to pull my hair out.
But it was all worth it.
He's great.Now it's down between 8-9 and up at 5:30 to 6 and he sleeps like a log.

CONGRATULATIONS!
I have to say it does vary.
My twin boys wouldn't sleep through the night until about 5 months. And even then I had awhile before they were asleep at exact same time, I think that was like a couple months later. I couldn't tell exact, I was sleep deprived.
My daughter, however, started sleeping through at about 3 mos.
