What about going after steve blake who is a very good facilitator and a good 3pt shooter. He has high basketball IQ, would be cheap, and a good vetran mentor to the youg pgs and other facilitators on the team (McCallum, Stauskas, and even IT of he is still around)
Then get a rim protector on the cheap like kaman or okafur who can give a solid 10-15mpg and we can start trying to dump some contracts like d will, terry, etc in deals for other players. No top or middle flight FA os coming to sactown

I've always liked Collison too. He's nowhere near the player that Westbrook is but he's a steady PG who can play defense, move the ball around, score a bit, and play mostly mistake free basketball. He was a key player for the Clippers last year though and they're a solid playoff team. Seems likely they'd both want to continue that relationship. I'm also not sure that he's a significant upgrade over Ray McCallum.

Eh, I think if you really pay attention to what most of these guys do, they're playing a schtick which has been proven to work. It's not really about sides. He's not going to quit the job because a Democrat is in the White House you know? He's got to find something to fill up air time with. But this is so far off topic at this point that it'd be best to drop it before the mods intervene. It was a funny picture used to elicit a reaction. I laughed.

I know and don't want to get too off topic either. I just wish Stewart would actually go back to being funny all the time (for both sides) instead of being angry all the time with the over the top face making. Somewhere along the line he forgot what got him that show to begin with.

I did yeah he hit some clutch baskets but was abysmal on the other end, basically everything positive he did he gave it right back.
Running a Vasquez Nik backcourt is going to be... urm, fun.
The idea of a Vasquez type is a good one though, a bigger guard who is happy to get out of the way and is looking to create, but I'd rather someone who is at least a competent defender.

His DRTg and DWS in the playoffs are practically identical to those of Lowry and DeRozan, so it's not like his defense was sub-par compared to the other Raptor guards. He was much worse during the regular season (as he was on the Kings), but I think this gap hints to lack of motivation more than anything else.

I don't pay much attention to the stats to be honest, not knocking them, just not my thing. I just watch the games and it was my impression he was a big problem for them on D, but if the stats say otherwise....

He was hurt with us, but I'm really worried he was too slow laterally to cover anybody. He did burn 7 seconds off every shot clock walking the ball up sloooooowwwwllllyyy.
