Food thread/what are you eating?

"Want" is way too strong a word: my sister had some, and she offered me some. And I hadn't had pomegranate since I was in my early twenties and I'd forgotten why I didn't eat them.

I remember now.
 
perhaps they are not in season down in Georgia at this time? you can always try the POM cups they sell without going through the de-seeding procedure

that tells me that fresh pomegranates are not in season then, try again when their peak season is and you'll be surprised how much better it is than those cups
 
My wife and I went out with my folks for lunch today at the new location of Pietro's in Lodi. Excellent food and service - if you are in the area and want some great Italian food, check it out. The new location is much bigger - the old one was restrictive on how many they could serve. I had a delicious sandwich (no pepperoncinis, though - don't really care for them). Their table bread is baked there and is fantastic as well. The Ceasar salad was very fresh and the dressing was not one of the overpowering ones you occasionally find.
