what a silly thread. I don't even know that Eric hyper injury prone malcontent on a max contract Gordon is a superior player, and who knows how long those knees hold up at $15mil per season. But then on top of that we are going to try to start him at PG? Next to another bombing chucker? If we were going to do all that why not just go back to Reke/Thornton at half the price.

We don't need Gordon. We have a better 2 already. And starting him at PG? With Thornton at the 2?......No, I prefer the "they're just a bad team" label to "They're all chuckers".

Do you even know anything about Eric Gordon? In his one year at Indiana, he averaged 2.4 assists to 3.5 turnovers, and he wasn't even playing the point. I question that you know anything about basketball. Other than being the world champion at the mid range jumper. How you managed to avoid any major program is beyond me.

damn that looks like an uneven trade for the hornets. they are getting too much talent in return

right...maybe we include the fictitious rights to Kenny Thomas to push the deal through.

In all seriousness, Gordon is an albatross contract until he turns it around and stays healthy. Horrible fit for the Kings on top of it.

You can tell how desperate we are to talk ANYTHING Kings when a thread like this has nearly 20 posts.

I'd rather use the amnesty clause on Salmons. That way we get rid of 8 mill off our capspace. The other thing I don't like about the trade, personnel aside, is that we have a shortage at SF and with bigs. At the same time, were overloaded at the guard positions. So we'd be adding one more guard, while getting rid of players at our positions of need. Bottom line is, I want nothing to do with Gordon's contract.

IT/Reke
Reke/MT
Reke/Gordon
IT/Gordon
IT/MT

all make a helluva lot more sense than Gordon/MT. How does one even arrive at the conclusion that a) Gordon can play PG and b) he's shown he's worth anything near his contract.

I don't think Gordon would even come close to fitting in here, with this roster anyway. MT and Gordon are similar in their abilities and play a similar style so I see no point in acquiring a player like MT, especially considering that salary (wish I got paid that much!). I think our absolute greatest need is some production from the SF slot. We have been lacking a decent SF for some time, but have failed to acquire one in any sort of sense (JJ is an epic failure).
