I like DeAndre too. In fact, I admittedly wanted the Kings to draft him that year. He wasn't really panned out yet, but it was understood that he was a project when he was drafted. Can't find the minutes behind Camby and Kaman, and with Griffin soon making his debut, it might be possible to take a flyer on Jordan. However, Camby is the likely one to be dealt imo

I like DeAndre's potential as well. But I doubt the Clips will part with him easily. Camby's on his way out, so they're going to need a 3rd big man in a Kaman/Blake frontline. DeAndre would fit nicely once he develops. The only King I'd be willing to part w/ and the Clips might be remotely interested in is Nocioni. He'd give them outside shooting from the SF position.

A Nocioni/May for Camby/DeAndre worksout salary wise, but assuming Nocioni's two remaining years may be too much for the Clips, who have a great cap space next year.

I would like to mention that during the broadcast on ESPN the anouncers said that Westphal told them we have no real defender in the paint...

which to me pretty much means he will be pressuring and probably has been pressuring Geoff to get a real 5 that can defend because clearly Hawes is lame...

i dont know if anyone else noticed that but it just seems like if the coach is gonna say things like that then you know he wants someone that can do those things...

i would be totally shocked if we didnt trade for a 5 that can defend before the deadline... or maybe before... seeing how we could be over 500 if we had that 5 already...

I want Okafor!!!

Agreed with everything said here.

I am having a seriously hard time trying to think of teams with a weaker frontline than us. Do we have the worse frontline in the league? I mean all it takes is one injury to our frontline and we are hosed. Help me out here guys.

New York? even they have David Lee and Eddy Curry, so I can't say our frontline is any better.

I haven't seen much of DeAndre... He'd have to be apart of a bigger deal I suspect

The reason you haven't seen much of him, is because he hasn't played much. And when he has played he hasn't done anything to make you want to play him more. Not a knock on him. He's young and still has time, but he's not the answer to any immediate problems that we have. Only long term problems, and with no guarantee.

Even granted its the Clippers that is just a . As in not in a million years could that happen, not if you had pictures of Sterling in the backseat with two underage sheep not ever.

Hmmm, thats when you really need the Silence of the Lambs...:D

Christmas wish

I know it's the Christmas season and all, but please Mr. Petrie, quit playing Bob Cratchet and do something about our Tiny Tim front line.
Even a card board cutout of Okafor or Dalembert would be an improvement after watching the embarrassment against Minnie last night.:o

deandre jordan would be nice but i doubt that we have a chance at him. okafor is the best fit but his contract is so long.... if we had a better team i would be all for okafor, but we dont have a team where he would put us over the top.

Well...We actually have some trade chips.

Martin, Garcia, Noc, and KT's expiring are all expendable in my book.

Plan B:

I was watching this show on little people, and I guess there is a long and painful procedure that involves breaking bones, stretching them, and allowing them to knit. They are able to gain up to 4 inches of height that way.

...I think Brockness should opt for it. Imagine if the guy was 6' 10. BEAST.

haha yes we are desperate for a big man. but not sure the healed broken bones will hold up for a professional athlete! Don't want to see the Brockness' legs snap all of a sudden in the middle of a game.

I agree that he probably wouldn't put us over the top, if by over the top,you mean compete for a championship. But he would certainly make us more competitive, and possibly make us playoff worthy. If not this year, then next year. He could possibly bring the overall talent level up to where, maybe, one more piece could put us over the top. A lot of maybe's I know. But we're in maybe land right now.

As far as the length of his contract. If he can do everything we think he can do, then I'm not bothered by it.

He might put us over the top in 3 years when Reke should be ready to lead us deep into the playoffs. That's what's nice about Okafor being signed long term... with him on board our team is basically in place, it's simply a waiting game for Evans and the rest to come of age.

OKAFOR!!!!!!! We would be so balanced and awesome right now! plus we would only get better as time goes on.
