But tommorow night will be a great night to worry about both simultaneously -- Hornets at Clippers, Hornets have half the team misssinhg and supergimp Davcid West may not be able to go. Nice clean double win for us if the Clips can pull it off.
Huh? We want BOTH LAC (for our pick) and New Orleans (for the Houston pick) to win - but that obviously can't happen. Tonight was a double win for us, but tomorrow won't be (as far as that game alone is concerned).
Our pick was saved by Butler's last second 3 tonight.
I wish for a Wiz and Hornets win tomorrow.
And hopefully Phoenix will stun Houston.
This will put a good buffer on our top pick and bump our houston pick higher.

your right -- was not clear in my thinking or my typing --tommorow one or the other pick wins. Not both. Or neither.
Still find it somewhat hard to root against Rick after everything he's had to endure yet again to hold that team together and have them right there, but recognize the importance of a #21 type pick as opposed to a #26.

Yeah, I understand that sentiment. I justify it like this: As soon as the season is over, I'm a Rockets fan all the way for the playoffs. Best-case scenario is they fall all the way to #8 and knock out the Lakers in the first round. They usually play LA tough and Bynum might not be back yet, anyway. They've got as good a shot as anyone at bringing down the Lakers.
We should be able to get the worst record if we win no more than 2 games from here on out. i'm willing to bet clippers and wizards will win at least 1 more game

Hm I doubt it because they are still fighting for home court advantage against Orlando and Boston. There is also a slight possibility they could catch up to the cavs.
that would be typical Phil Jackson, but with this unexpected gift from Washington comes another advantage -- it perhaps keeps the Lakers in the running for best overall record and possible homecourt in the Finals, so they may stay interested. Still, I am sure will take us far too lightly. Seems no matter how many times we rise up to bite them the eternal arrogance of that franchise causes them to forget it by the next time we face them. You think they would learn.
I hate to say it, but I hope we lose to the Lakers also xD We've suffered enough and just a little more suffering to go for our reward. In a way I feel like the NBA owe it to us, since game 6 was so badly officiated. The fans and players will never forget that day. Even if it wasn't rigged there is no deny that it is one of the poorest officiated games in NBA history.
(All other teams guaranteed to finish better than the Kings. The cigaM Number is the opposite of the well-known Magic Number. Any combination of Kings losses and opponent wins adding up to the cigaM Number will guarantee that the Kings finish with a worse record than that opponent.)
It's in the Kings hands at this point. Why do I fear this scenario?
Fortunately, the Kings have played better than being the worst team in the league. They have really lost some heartbreakers lately, so it gives some good promise for next season, while still maintaining the highest possibility for the top pick.
Probably will come down to the Kings @ Clipps game near the end of the season. I could see the Kings swinging all the way to #3 worst if they win that game.
