Donté Greene planning charity basketball game in Sacramento?

Has anyone heard if the game is going to televised, or live streamed? I'd love to go to the game, but its a long drive from baja..
I almost bought a round trip plane ticket from Austin to Sacramento just to see the game and flyout right after. I asked Donte about streaming no answer on twitter.

I may be there since someone might be handing off their tickets to me since they have to work that day-- but only if I get over this bad flu virus.

direct link to the radio broadcast. I don't think there will be a stream available.

They said that they're going to play funky music until the game starts.

Jimmer Fredette hit his first two threes. The announcers are taking shots at Spencer Hawes, lol. Hassan Whiteside won the tip against Spencer Hawes and has two blocks so far.

It's really annoying listening without being able to see. May just go to sleep and hope for highlights in the morning. Cousins, Jimmer and Donte all with threes so far.

It sounds like Jimmer's playing well. These guys need to stop chucking threes... although Jimmer's hit at least five.

Wasn't able to go, should have asked someone if they can pick me up one of those posters (the one I posted an image of) if they happened to have them laying around at the game. No big deal though maybe I can ask KFlippin if he wouldn't mind sending me a printable quality file.

Apparently Jimmer won the dance contest between him and Thomas. Here's a short video of it..

That was the first part. He did a little more than that. Thomas didn't try all that hard after. ;) Donte called for crowd approval for each, with Thomas first. You could have heard a pin drop. Donte was laughing so hard he rolled onto his back. Jimmer got a huge roar. I recorded it, but I was in the upper deck with a cell phone, so the action is pretty small compared to that video. Still, I will upload it to youtube.

Since I couldn't be there last night, and Jason Jones made on reference in his collumn today, I'm interested in how everyone looked. I know Cousins is in shape since I've seen him in various charity games throughout the summer and fall. How did Whiteside look? How did Jimmer shoot the ball? How about Tyreke? Can anyone give a summory of the players and the game?

I am no scout, but Jimmer was shooting lights-out before the game. Only one ball touched the rim in shootaround (that I saw, and most were near/past the 3-pt line). I don't think he missed a single shot before the game. In the game, he hit maybe half his shots or so, maybe a little less? He was also trying to pass and get some assists.

All the big men were also trying to shoot 3's, including Spencer and DMC. I know some people here would have liked to storm the court and start smashing heads if they saw that in a game. ;)

Donte and Reke were going at each other a bit from time to time - you can see they enjoy the matchup. Reke hit a few 3s - maybe half his attempts? Whiteside looked active and blocked a few shots. I don't think he scored much at all.

Sorry, I'm no real scout and was trying to keep an eye on my 8 year old while the game was going on. I was also talking with kennadog and Mike, as we were all sitting together. We were talking a bit about that "video" coming out in January, but that is another conversation for another time.....

I actually shot quite a few clips of the game with my phone, so I will try to upload some at home in the next day or so for you guys to break down and have fun with.

They were doing a bunch of goofing around at times as well, and not taking it too seriously (to be expected whenever Donte is in charge). No defense for much of the game, especially in the second quarter - it looked like an all-star game there for a while. Went into overtime, as they were tied at 158 (?) after 48. Final score was over 160 for each side, IIRC. Will check later.

The truth will come out soon.

Went to the game and it was lots of fun. No defense of course, but it was great to see those guys get up and down the court.

Side: My dad actually was selected to come in and shoot free throws between the third and fourth quarters, so he got to meet Jimmer and Donte Greene! He got a certificate to come courtside at the end of the game to collect a prize...Turns out he won a frozen turkey!

We had a great time, I took my 4 year old son (it was his 1st ever basketball game) and we all had a blast. He got to meet Jason Thompson and Hassan Whiteside (both of them were very nice and friendly) and we got some great pictures. Definitely some memorable moments as this was perhaps the only basketball we will get to see this year.

Here's the box score:
From Cowbell Kingdom via Ben Taylor of KDVS Radio in Davis

Player - First Half Points - Second Half Points - Total
Tyreke Evans 28 26 54 (10-3PM)
Jason Thompson 29 16 45
DeMarcus Cousins 19 23 42
Jimmer Fredette 22 12 34 (8-3PM)
Donté Greene 14 21 35
Matt Barnes 7 6 13
Spencer Hawes 17 17 34
Hassan Whiteside 14 10 24
Isaiah Thomas 6 7 13

Hassan had some big blocks (5+ in the game) including one he grabbed with both hands and squashed against the backboard. He's got inspector gadget arms...one play he missed the block with his right hand and corrected to block it with his left, swatting it out of bounds. Hassan impressed me when he was paired with DeMarcus, I like the way they play together with the offense/defense roles and I think they feed off each other well.

Tyreke's shot was falling from everywhere, as seen by the game high 54 points and 10 3-pointers made. He still likes to fall away on most shots, but has developed a lot more arch under his attempts while using his quickness to get separation. Jimmer got a bit tired by the end of the game and clanked a few 4th quarter shots, but when he's fresh I'm surprised if he misses anything. The highlight of the game was Tyreke pulling up for a 40 footer and nailing it, followed the next possession by Jimmer pulling up from the same distance and also swishing it. Hawes played a more fundamental, less flashy game, taking his usual 7 3-point attempts, but also working the defensive glass. Jason Thompson was stroking the jumper really well, far out into 3-point territory and looks to have further improved his spot up shooting. He had some wild spin moves that he couldn't convert, but if he was spotting up or dunking, it was going in. Donte Greene tried to provide some individual defense on several occasions, and Tyreke blew right by him repeatedly. All in all, there wasn't only a handful of defensive plays throughout the entire game, but the offense was fun to watch.

OK, here you go:

Please don't critique the lousy videography, please. I was using my cell phone and wasn't planning on putting them online. I haven't even watched them since taking them. ;)

Saw the highlights of the game. Cousins really looked like he slimmed down, that's fantastic. He looks more explosive in his dunks too, granted there were no defenders in sight, but you can just tell. I LOLed at Jimmer's set shots from downtown.
