Well, it was a crap technical anyway. Shouldn't have been called on either player. Just a little jousting going on under the basket. And it wasn't nearly as bad as some others I've seen that wern't called. Cuz was probably hoping he didn't have to play again this year against Ibaka.

It was a reputation tech. I think his little chat with the crew chief at half time may have helped in this instance. He needs to chat up the officials more often and these fouls will diminish. People think he's an ogre but really all he is is one of the most intensely competitive guys there is. Like KG. Perhaps I am making too much of this, but the bottom line of this issue may be that his reputation may have taken a bump upwards and, I hope, his techs and fouls will drop. Certainly some of his his fouls have something to do with his reputation.
Some were stupidity, of course, but let's eliminate the fouls that are based on assumption because of his reputation and let's get some fouls called on the opposition. Sometimes they get away with murder.
There is no fix. I hate to see this perpetuated by someone who is respected. Well, unless you believe it at which point we could go through the whole argument again.

I didn't say there was a fix. I was pointing out the error in his logic. If the league was planning to give us the number 1 pick, which is what he said, then we wouldn't have to worry about having any more than one ping pong ball in the mix. It was light-hearted humor, nothing more.
