2025 Workouts

Doesn't really replace anything at all on the defensive end though. Nembhard is a good player and while he could end up in a great situation that allows him to rack up assists, he's still a 5'11" PG. Most PG's that size need to be scoring machines to survive historically. And even then it's hit and miss. If Devin were headed out the only player I'd be OK seeing as a replacement would be Alijah Martin because they'd be recouping some defense and athletic ability albeit on a lower ceiling prospect perhaps. If the Kings had their hands on a Davion and a Devin only to have neither while just trading Fox out of the way then that just compounds every single development miscue the Kings have committed for the last 15 years+. When you add it into the times being what they are where defensive guard play is >>> almost anything else right now it's a sign that nothing has changed.

Yeh he we wouldn’t be my first choice but a lot of draft heads seem to like him.

Kaluma was on my draft wish list a couple years ago when they thought he might enter the draft. Kinda fell off the radar a bit the last couple years.

Alijah Martin is a favorite among some draft nerds. Would be a good choice in the second round given the circumstance.
I like Kaluma. Good defender! He was projected as a first round pick as a freshman, and probably would have been, but he decided for some reason to go back to school, and it ended up hurting him. Why you ask? When players go back it's usually to try and improve they're draft stock. It gives teams a chance to see your growth with another year, or two. But if there isn't any growth, or not much, it's preceived that the player has already reached his ceiling, and he starts to slide.

I still think he can be a solid rotational player, growth or not. We'll see....

I like Nembhard! He's a bit undersized though. He's a tough hardnosed player similar to his brother. The other player I like, who I think will probably go at the top of the 2nd round is Koby Brea, a 6'7" SF who shot just over 43% from three on 6 atempts a game. He's a questionable defender and he comes with T-Rex arms. Another scorer in this group is Curtis Jones who was the man for Iowa St.
