Clippers @ Kings Game Thread

Kings as expected, beat the talent wise equal Rockets team to start a mini winning streak and improve to 34-40 still not giving up on winning season. With 8 games left - 5 at home and 3 on the road, Kings obviously won't get to .500 but they will upset someone else besides the Rockets.

Kings are 2-10 in the division which is the worst record in the pacific but Kings can improve in the next 5 days playing both LA teams at home and hopefully winning both with a loss in Denver in between.

It is perfectly acceptable winning games while playing the kids. We can't hurt our 13 pick anymore. Might as well win especially playing lakers 2 more times.
The problem is that Brad, Ron, Mikki, John and A.J, aren't to be considered "kids".

Totally unacceptable the way that Brad behaved last night. If You don't feel like playing just sit out please ! Make up an injury or ask Ron. Pursue career as a country singer or hunter or whatever just don''t embarrass Yourself like that. And if You really have to get ejected - at least grab Mutombod finger and bite it off.

The reason we won the game last night was because we shot better than them. Only because of that we survived the rebounding deficit of -21. Let's face it - without Yao we just match up well.

Clippers are next and they are 22-52 in way better shape than us at this point. This is very simple - we are 0-3 against the this season and no one gets swept by the Clippers. We just have to win this one. Not as much as the one on Sunday but almost. Thornton wind TDM, Mobley wins the LW-VC award. Kings win

I suspect we'll snatch a few wins that people don't expect us to win from here on out, but being 0-3 against the Clippers? Strange indeed. Even we beat the Lakers at least once this year. Doesn't help matters that Elton Brand probably will play against us tonight. I wouldn't be overly surprised with a loss, but being "swept" by the Clippers would definitely be demeaning.

The Kings (34-40) don't have playoff hopes to spoil, but they did some spoiling of their own with a 99-98 victory over Houston on Tuesday night.

"It's nice that we can play a role in the Western Conference," Kings coach Reggie Theus said. "The guys understand we have a role to play. If our role is to muck it up, that's what we'll do. It gives us something to play for and it's a big win for us down the stretch."

i don't think Brand has ever beaten the Kings in his career with the clippers.

He has 4 times, 3 games at Staples and one at Arco.

No doubt he will be extremely rusty, although not rusty enough to stop him from pwning Mikki. But the Caveman's out with a twisted ankle, which spares us 20+20, and that will probably be enough to win.

As Piksi would say, better lucky than good.
