The more I think about it, the more likely this seems to be the scenario. Just something about Casspi screams success. I do think he'll do EVERYTHING possible to become an actual star in this league. I can see him really blossoming to become a seriously dead eye shooter, adequate ball handler, very good defender, very good rebounder. He will have to work on his passing, and in the flow abilities. But especially with how hot his shooting was for basically an entire half season, he's got some serious potential.... but... so does Donte.
But Donte is a bit more versatile, and could be better utilized off the bench and for certain matchup situations. But just think, in three more years... these TWO??? I hope we find a way to keep them both without stifling either of their development.
But I think the roubounding edge will give Casspi the starting spot, for now. Who knows though, maybe rebounding is the thing that Donte magically and dramatically improved this offseason, similar to his defensive improvement last year.
