BOOZER FOR NOCI+KT anyone?

don't try to move noci's contact for BOOZER, BOOZER wants a trade,

and he is expiring contract, KT is an expiring contract,too....

For JaZZ:Noci will be a great fix with SLON'S SYSTEM AND THEY

Will get to allay hudge salary spaces next year.

For KINGS: They get boozer,expiring contract,a all star PF make a leading

with our growing frontcourt player JT and HAWES and given the team

enough salary spaces next year,too.......additionally we given

OMRI & GREENCE playing time............

so I think this is a win-win deal,just my opinion.

i'd do it just for the expiring, not interested in keeping him for the long term since we are rebuilding. we'd have to have some type of buy out ready if we were to deal for him.

This is an interesting one!

We are still a long way away from competing for a championship and we try and improve on the go, I suspect we might never get out of mediocrity.

Personally, I believe the best way forward is for us to stack up our roster with youngsters, give them a great deal of game time and let them develop. They will make mistakes, there will be growing pains but I think thats the best way forward.

I wouldn't be very tempted to make this deal. My preferred approach would be to keep the current roster and add a young back up PF/C with some potential. If we are able to shed Beno's contract I would do it without blinking. The chances of us getting an expiring for him are very very slim but if we can get a player in return with a shorter contract it would be a no brainer.

Then at trade deadline, try and trade away Nocioni to a contender for an expiring contract and a pick.

Go into the draft with our picks and the pick from the Nocioni trade, get some more young talent and spend the salary cap money on a FA. We are unlikely to add the big stud line LeBron, Wade etc but we could get a FA just under those super stars.

So next year we would still have a more mature and developed Hawes, Thompson, Evans and Martin. Add a nice free agent and another bunch of youngsters and we would be on the way back.

I think going after Boozer is a quick fix that can compromise the bigger picture for us. If Evans can perform as expected and we get the continual growth and development from Hawes and JT, we should be an improved team. You add Boozer to those factors and you potentially have a team that can sneak into the play offs and that IMHO would do more harm that good to us in the long term.

Unless of course Evans turns into a superstud (a true superstar franchise player) which safe money says in unlikely. A very good player, perenial all-star but not a Wade/LeBron level superstud.

Not a bad idea. I would guess something like that is much more likely now than it was prior to the summer league, given JT's crappy performance so far. I know its just summer league, but JT isn't giving the coaching staff or the FO a lot of confidence in him right now.

My premise is that if boozer wants JAZZ trade him and jazz is forced to

trade him,matter of course,in normalcy,who would trade their all star for

a role player like NOCI ?

Boozer for the other all star? I don't think who would and willing to make

this deal cause he had just one year contact.

We are a re-buildng team, trade Boozer will give our team stir some

chemisrty at least a possibility this year.If he won't sign a deal with us next

year it's doesn't matter cause you have enough salary spaces to shop

another big man in 2010 free agency market. .

I just hope he can bring something for us this year and cleaning up our salary space more

comfortable, I am't not saying that JAZZ's GM won't take into consideration on this deal.

The only way Utah does a deal with us for Boozer is if we give them all of our cap space. Noc & $5M in cap space for Boozer. But, that means we have to renounce the rights to all our FA's, and the ML and Bi-annual exemptions. But, we could add Fresenko to the deal, and that works in the ESPN trade machine.

Basicly, we would get a starting PF & a backup Center for Noc. But, we'd have no money to sign Brockman or anyother FA's.

No on Brockman. Only 1st round picks are exempt from the salary cap restrictions. Plus, if we sign him, there might not be enought cap space to do the deal, because it's really close. All exemptions (MLE, Bi-annual, traded player) count against the salary cap. To free up the cap space, we have to renounce all FA's & exemptions. The Veteran Minimum is the only exemption, we can retain, & Brockman doesn't qualify as a Vet.

We would be able to us the Vet min to fill out our roster, since the trade would leave us below the league min of 13. So, to do the deal, the Maloofs would have to agree to spend all their cap space & between $1.7 to $3.5 above the salary cap. That's about $5M more than they are planning to spend.

JT would lose minutes at the 4, but pick up some at the 5. Which I originally thought would hurt his development. But, after watching the VSL, I'm beginning to think he needs time to work on his low post skills, so it might not be the worst thing for the 2nd yr rookie.

The Jazz already have a guy making $16M at the SF. And, they chose to resign Fesenko even though they are severly over the luxury tax. Any, trade that doesn't offer cap space, probably won't interest them.

it would be cool but if we could get a third team involved to take boozer for a better deal. there are other teams that want boozer but cant trade for him or utah wont trade with them. if they were willing to trade him to the kings because we wouldnt be a threat to their playoff hopes maybe we should flip him for a player that we actually want.

This is one of the most imaginitive trades I've seen in a while. Bravo!

Utah needs to be willing to pick up $13.5M in additional salary over the next 3 yrs. But, they'll save $6M in salary and $6M in luxury tax, so it's kind of a wash. Plus, they might be able to move Noc at the trade dealine which should really sell them on the deal.

Miami gets Boozer for expiring and a late 1st rounder. Correct, no brainer.

We get a backup center & expiring plus save $13.5M off Noc's contract. And, it only costs us $4.5M of our cap space. At the trade deadline we have almost $20M in expiring. The only draw back is we lose our starting SF, which means more time for Greene & Casspi. Of course, if Noc is moveable at the trade deadline, then we end up spending $4.5M for a backup Center, but it's worth the gamble.

I really don't see a downside for any of the teams. I hope someone sends a link to the Kings and the Bee.
