Can you imagine the possibilities if Petrie could of landed a trade involving NeNe this year. I think, and i'm kinda going out on a limb here but.....I think Kerr would've ranked us 10th in the west.
Yeah, I think Nene would be the best guy to get via trade, maybe give Denver our MLE and someone, not sure if that would work on either side, but I have wanted Nene all along. He would solve our PF issues, just my guesstimation though.

Um...? Of what relevance is that? Skinny and twice the rebounder (and as an aside, hunter si not exactly beef himself). One is a guy who might become a full fledged star here in a few years, the other is a roleplayer.

well bricklayer, you were complaining about how brad miller was weak and how he would have rebounds muscled away from him so i figured we'd get a role player because we dont need another star, i mean i guess if you wanna trade some of the core for garnett or sumthin but thats besides the point.

Yes, Brad Miller is weaker than he appears. But again, what is the relevance of being "skinny" in the face of Chandler's HUGE rebounding numbers? The proof is in the pudding there -- he's 7'1", very long, and like Garnett uses that superiorty to grab boards at a staggering rate. He was #3 in the NBA in per 48 rebounds this year, skinny or not. He grabbed more rebounds than Brad did last year in 10 fewer minutes per game.

you really dont give brad his credit, i mean how weak can a 6'11 260 pound guy be? i wouldnt wanna step in the ring with him and neither would you, i guess chandler would be a good pickup but i seriously doubt the bulls are going to let him go

What difference does it make if someone would step in the ring with one of these guys?

Reggie Evans looks like a walking stick (and yes, I mean the insect) but he's able to put up pretty good numbers, especially in boards. Being skinny doesn't mean a thing, necessarily, unless you're worried he'll float off the bench and into the rafters like a balloon with a broken string.

a) you don't know me very well obviously, there have certainly been times in my life when I was stronger than Brad is now.

b) but that's not relevant, because all that matters is how Brad compares to his peers and opponents. And THEY are the people who are not only unafraid of Brad, but go right at him with impunity. He was overpowered by bigs all year last year. It wouldn't matter if Brad was Hercules himself if the guys he was battling against were stronger still (actually I think technically impossible in a mythological sense, but nonetheless). A man his size should be tossing guys around in there, but quite the opposite actually. Hope he's been hitting the weights, and not forgetting the leg presses because I think a lot of the problems are starting below his waist.

Brad has heart for all of his weakness. It doesn't seem from lack of trying. He can't be our muscle guy for sure. Again like all of us have been saying, with some pressure off him (a nice talented thug in the lineup) he'd probably shine a little more.

Speaking of skinny...Cisco did not look skinny on television last night. Maybe it was television - maybe not. But his arms looked like Kevin and Tayshaun Prince combined.

ok brick lets see, maybe he just got worn down last year because who else was there to help him out muscle guys? you can keep talking trash about him but point is he showed so much heart after breaking his leg in a freak injury and he came back and played great, he will be back and be an all star

Calling Miller weak is not talking trash, its talking truth. The guy needs to juice;)

Pointing out weaknesses in one of our own isn't talking trash. It's being realistic. If you look back at the grade threads from Bricklayer, I think you'll see he's pretty objective when it comes to assessing the strengths/weaknesses of our team.

Chandler also has had injury problems from what I remember? But how bad were they? I'm sure full off-season would do him good though.

Only thing I hope that he doesn't do again, and probably will not, is rush, and take a two-shot rather than pass out for a three. While also, not sure on this, it was still early in the shot-clock. During Wiz series, last game I think.

Personaly I'd take Chandler over Tyson.. shure he is skiny but his shot blcoking and low post game are just the complent to Brad's game we need. As for Brad's condition, he was stronger in Chicago and Indy. I suspect his rash of injuries has made conditioining hard, and his big contract may have taken some of the edge off of his game. BUT what he may have lost in strenth power and meanness, his improved finess has more than made up for. I never cease to be impressed with his stroke from midrange, and his deceptively sweet passing. But even in his some what diminished physical state Brad still sets some of the hardest picks in the NBA.

Rookie year 71 games
Sophmore year 75 games
3rd year 35 games
last year 80 games

Sign Eddie Griffin Now

The Twolves just resigned forward mark madsen and signed power forward Nkolos Tskitishki to contracts... that seems to leave little room for eddie griffin in a crowded forward rotation in minnesota... the t wolves are shopping for a shooting guard, so i doubt they would try to match a near MLE offer to griffin... if the kings can sign griffin to maybe a 5 year 20-25mil contract, i think they can get him... it would give the kings a shot blocking and rebounding presense at PF...

this would give the kings one of the deepest rosters in the nba....

PF Griffin /Thomas
SF Peja / Williamson
C Miller/ Skinner
SG Wells / Martin / Garcia
PG Bibby / FA (House)

Yeah KON, I was just about to post about Madsen coming back... and

While he's a center, Wolves agreed to a 4-year deal with St. Joe's center Dwayne Jones.

EG can hit the 3P too, proven as he dropped 7, on Philly, still impressive. The three shot area of his game shouldn't be compared to Walker either. Can do a little passing also.

GET GRIFFIN!

Okay, I agree -- think he is a worthwhile risk at this point, regardless of whether he is a starter or a backup. Can really help where we are weak.

But two things:
1) what does Minnesota know that we don't? The guy has had trouble, but apparently was not a big problem, or at least not THE big problem, for them last year. So why so little money for player of his talents? Why/how does Mark Madsen get higher on your resign priority list?
2) While persoanlly I would be willing to go ahead and drop a MLE contract like that on him, as long as we had some specific provisions regarding behavior that let us void it and escape. But if Minnesota is not serious about things, might not have to go that high. If he works out he's absolutley worth that kind of money. But wouldn't want to basically go bidding against ourselves unnecessarily. If he's actually unrestricted as reports say, there wll be no matching option for Minnesota, so no need to try to spike it high to avoid having them match.

While I like the idea of getting Griffin, no way would I drop a $20-25M contract on him. He's got great potential if he ever gets his head on straight, but if he implodes or just doesn't pan out it would hurt to be stuck with that 5-year contract.

Up to the MLE is OK for a year, less for multi-year. Realistically I'd be happy with two or three year, $10-12M. He's still young enough to get a full-length contract after that if he proves he can be a reliable player.

Only problem I know last year he had, was a thumb or leg injury or something. Yeah, I don't think we'd definitely need to spend the entire MLE on him too.

I am totally serious. He would be great for us. he would replace tag nicely.
Well hey, I could replace Tag. I think I'd look more stylish sitting behind the bench, and I know I'm a much better dancer.

As for Willis, I think it's a great idea. In fact, if he signs with the Kings I bet I could get everyone autographs. After all, he was in my grandmother's high school class.
