indeed. the kings' ownership/FO ditched a formula that was beginning to achieve success in favor of a particular style of play, and because they faced tremendous backlash from the fanbase, local media, and national media, they're now in the position of having to justify their decision with on-court results. i imagine that PDA is feeling the heat, and he'll likely make some [more] rash decisions before it's all said and done. of course, i wasn't a big fan of the stauskas pick in the first place; like many, i wanted payton, and i wouldn't necessarily be sad to see nik go in a package deal, as long as the kings could receive something valuable in return. the problem is, i'm rather tired of this new sacramento kings tradition of blowing lottery pick after lottery pick. fredette, robinson, and, if he's traded, stauskas, as well? man... talk about an utter waste of favorable draft positioning. ben mclemore's saving grace is that he was a part of a horrendously weak draft class, otherwise i might be inclined to lump him in there, too...
