At Least We're Not Dallas

See there's a positive. As I stated last night, we only need to win one game in Seattle and take care of our home court. There is a great Playoff saying that was brought up by Grant during the game 'the series does not officially start until someone loses on their home floor'. The Dallas/Rockets series has not only started, its almost done. Nobody said that winning a series when you don't have the home court was going to be easy. Lets not call this series over until the Kings lose on their home floor or until after game 7. Whichever come first.

yeah, but if the Sonics win even one of these two upcoming home games, then this series is over before it even started.

Good point, I've seen plenty of teams fall behind 0-2 on the road, come back to hold serve at home to take the series as far as 7. Here's not taking anything for granted (since we definately know we can't) but if we can pull it together for games 3 and 4 at home, then it just comes down to stealing one at some point in Seattle. It will definately be hard to win 4/5 but the Kings should have a chance in every game as long as they can stop falling behind by so much.

That is why I said not to count the Kings out until they lose on their home floor. I agree that if they lose 1 at ARCO, they will lose the series.

the lakers did it last year against the spurs didnt they? or did they win in 5? i could have sworn it was 6.....

but this team had better pray to win at least one game with this small *** lineup....

Dallas has at least been competitive. While they will blow up their team because of Cuban, they do not have to. Yao has been everything he was touted as being, and T-Mac is playing like a rich man's Scottie Pippen. Meanwhile, we're down 0-2 to the Sonics. Of course, Dallas also has that Dampier contract. . .so we're about equal.

Dallas may have been keeping it close, but they still lost 2 games on there home floor. I think that is a lot worse.

0-2 is 0-2... lets not kid ourselves here

You're right 0-2 is 0-2, however it's a lot different being down 0-2 and going on the road in the playoffs and trying to win, than it is to be going home where we could potentially tie up the series.

Completely and totally off topic:

I have often wondered, crypticone, if your name is intended to inform people that you are the cryptic one. Or, if your name is actually "crypti-cone," like some sort of secretive soft serve treat.

Not really, we are a great road team and we know we can win anywhere but yes winning the first two games gives you an advantage. Going into someone else's arena knowing you need to win at least one there is pressure in it's self.

Only two teams in the NBA had a better road record than us this year, so GREAT is the right word. We still remain the most underrated team in the NBA and have been all year. We have been a great team this year and our record Vs the elite is right up there.

Great teams do not lose 6 straight and 10 of 14 down the strech.

Your team was overrated until the last 15 games of the season or so. Now, your team is ranked just about right.

Great teams don't also lose 4 of their best 5 scorers due to injury. Without those injures we may getleast 55-56 wins

How can a team be overrated when they got no credit whats so ever and got looked down on by basically every team's fans in the league?

cry me a river - will You

If You expect anyone on this board to symphatize with that issue You will grow old waiting. No excuses. A great team finds a way to win no matter what. You ae just a solid team that profited from many circumstances. Extremely overated

GO CHEWY!!! Hey Ray what is that stupid sasquatch mascot of yours called anyways? Now that I think about it what is the kings' mascot name?

Let's see how great you are after the next 2 games.

playoff experience is so overrated and once you get in round two, the playoff experience label doesn't matter too much.

Look up the word overrated please.

Playoff experience is going to matter if this goes to game seven.
James is going to go back to being a crap player,
Fortson is just a walking technical.
Your point guard is weak and WILL choke under pressure.
Ray Allen better hit everything.
KINGS IN SEVEN.

Hey Ray, your Sonic team isn't as great as you think it is, you'll about to see that over the next few games. IF they make it that far, you'll definately find out in Round 2.

Playoff experience being a factor?? Just look at what happened in San Antonio last night. There isn't a doubt in my mind, that despite Duncan not being 100%, the Spurs will win that series.

Compare the two teams, sonics have just as much playoff experience as the Kings. So sorry I buy that.

We will likely face S.A in round two so yes we will likely lose to them but that doesn't mean we aren't an elite team. We won 52 games for a reason. We have a top 5 SG and a top 5 SF along with the highest scoring bench. Teams have looked down on us all year so people underrating us is no surprise.

I will be interested to see how the kings response tomorrow.

Elite teams don't get in the habit of blowing leads in back to back games.

They won 52 games? THe Kings won 50 while trading away Christie and Webber, having Jackson miss 3/4 of the season, having Brad not playing from late February until the playoffs. Seattle was in a weak division, the 52 doesn't impress me that much, Kings have won 50 or more for about 4 or 5 years now.

Seattle's roster doesn't have as much playoff experience. That's just a blatant lie. Bibby, Brad, and Peja have more playoff experience combined that any of the SOnics. THe only Sonic to have noteworthy experience is Allen with the Bucks.

Look it up.
