I mean look at what this guy just did to the Pacers. He totally screwed them over and sent whatever value he had down even further. I'd be pissed if we gave Peja up for this guy and ended up screwed over too, cause then we couldn't get Peja back. If we do land him, I will except him however. I will give him the chance to prove himself.
Still, I don't know about all of this. I will trust in Petrie and whatever possible decision he makes I guess.

A wuss who can sometimes shoot except in the 4th quarter. He's most likely to leave after this year and leave us with nothing in return. What other player of Artest's caliber can we trade Peja for?
Make the deal!!! These are desperate times, this team is going nowhere. Petrie needs to realize that defense wins, not offense. Getting Artest would be a huge step in the right direction.
That way at least the Kings would be trying to get better. Similar to that at least with Artest, we'd have someone who'd be giving 100% on the court as opposed to some passive softie.
The bottom line is that we're not going to get anything better than Artest for Peja. We might end up losing Peja for nothing and he sure isn't worth the max.

Could he be a real plus? Maybe. Could he ruin the team? You bet. This is an extremely talented guy, but his teammates, the GM, the Pacers franchise just do not want him anymore. Apparently the positives do NOT outweigh the negatives. People think Webber or Bonzi had baggage? They are complete wusses in that Department compared to Artest.

I don't think the positives outweight the negatives on Peja. He's going to walk at the end of the year probably for a place with a large Serbian population like Chicago or Toronto. There is no way he is deserving of the max. There is no one nearly as talented as Artest that Petrie could trade him for. Artest only has 3 year's left on his contract. If it doesn't work out, then you move on. However, the potential for a great player who can turn the franchise around is there. You say he can destroy the team. I ask how can it be any worse? This team isn't going anywhere. Every night they make role players look like hall of famers. They let teams abuse them and push them around every night. There is no way Ron Ron would stand for that which is enough for me to say let's give this a try.

I dunno why, but after reading that article I'm not too scared of getting Ron. Adelman is an awesome player coach, and all the fans in sacramento would love him-so he'd love them too. I think he's changed since the brawl, and I haven't heard of him throwing stuff anymore or anything like that. Before he wanted to leave indy all his teammates liked having him there.

Exactly. Adelman's ability to relate to these problematic players shouldn't be underrated. Until this year, no one wanted Bonzi. Look at the guy this year; he's arguebly the team's best player. Plus, just like every player, Ron Ron would probably love the offensive freedom Adelman provides.

I think that there is always a sign and trade option here mainly because Kings can give Pedja an extra year on a deal. Right now Artest might be the only palyer we can get and while I am aware of his skills I don't think that we need to take a risk here mainly because we still wouldn't have a bench. I also don't see Artest fit in here. Sacramento is just way too normal for him

If Petrie doesn't make the trade offer, my respect for him will have gone down a large level.
Sure, Ron may blow up and bite off a chicken head during a game. At this point in Kings history, I think it's a chance worth taking. From a straight ball level, Artest is a much more complete player than Peja, the team defense improves dramatically, SOMETHING needs changing at this point in time because the mixture that's there ain't doing a doggone thing. Doing a Peja for Artest trade is a whole lot more sensible than that Webb for those other guys thing, which everyone seems to be regretting now. I have a post percolating in my head about golden eggs, geese, and Sacramento fans...see if I can let it come out soon.
But on this point, it's time to make a wild gamble.

Granted Bonzi didn't go into the stands and miss 73 games for it but he has been a lockerroom cancer in his previous 2 destinations. Petrie didn't hasn't to take a chance on him, so why not do the same for a player with enormous upside?
I wouldn't worry about Sactown being too normal for Artest. Indy isn't exactly the biggest city in the world. Plus, Webber couldn't stand it until he got the max. I think the freedom on the offensive end would do wonders for Artest. That's the primary thing he's listed as not liking now in Indy. Most players love playing the Kings style of ball, I think Ron would be no exception in that regard.
