Okay, maybe I remember it wrong. I do remember the coast to coast thing though ... that much I DO remember.
I don't think Peja was in the midst of a lay-up OR he would have gone to the line to shoot fouls, which you can clearly see he did not. In addition, he DIDN'T go immediately to the bench.
I never said immediately, I thought it was the next series.
I was mistaken.

Bricklayer said:While I like the idea of Corliss as a guy who can maybe turn the tables on Bowen with superior strength and an offensive style Bowen isn't used to guarding, our spacing with all three of our post guys out there at once would be a real problem. Given Bowen's lack of offense maybe we could get away with KT? Could really help us vs. the Spurs inside power to have an extra PF out there.

It's nice to see him grab rebounds, but it is at the cost of continuity. On offense, he drops into the lane and sits there. Thus clogging the lane for Brad and Reef to drive when they have it at the top of the key. I've seen him take post position away, so he can be "in position" for a rebound.
On defense, he's out of position on his man most of the game. He's starting to become a worse defensive presence than Mike Bibby. His man might not lead the team in scoring, but the team has to rotate off their man to cover his. This is mainly due to Bonzi switching on EVERY player. (this might be a product of the defensive system)
Finally, the main reason I'll bash on Bonzi is because out of EVERYONE on the team - he should be the one sacrificing his game and glory the most. In truth, I see him doing it the least. That bothers me. Bonzi is the least talented of our entire starting unit ... but he's getting the touches that indicate otherwise.
Bricklayer said:Bonzi is also doing all the dirtywork that our soft little pretty boys would never deign too. When your 6'5" guard is leading the team in rebounding, there better be a line around the block of players who get bashed first.
VF21 said:Nothing has been said so far, and at most they would probably say it's a "game time decision."
The noon news usually has a sports segment. If they add any new info, I'll be sure and post it...

I think I like that idea.
Bibby, Bonzi, KT, SAR and Brad...
That would totally confuse the Spurs, at least for a bit. And then, while they're scratching their collective heads, we could superglue their shoes to the floor.

First - pain is pain. It doesn't matter if it was high school or not.
Second - I played football for the University of Alabama, a top tier NCAA division 1 school, and have a ring to prove it. I also played for the Houston Texans. I am sure that I can officially say that the NBA is NOT 50,000 times more physical than any game I've been in. Thanks for trying to let me know though.

I mean, seriously. Not everybody lives the mundane life. There are a bunch of guys that play ball.
I can get our media day guide out ... but at the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what you accept or believe, does it?
If I wanted/needed to lie to lend credence to my argument, shouldn't I have gone the route of basketball?
VF21 said:Why would you lie? Perhaps to give the impression you - a big time college football player - have felt pain and survived? You're the one who brought it up, as though it would somehow lend credence to your argument.
I'm sorry if you don't get it, but if you haven't walked the walk, you just really can't talk the talk.
You're dealing with a good number of people who bleed purple clear to the bone and have since the beginning. If you want to argue theory, you're in the wrong place.
We know our team. We know our system AND, possibly most importantly, we KNOW our players.
We also know each other. All of those things come only with time... show patience, grasshopper. And at least respect that some of us know our team better than you do.
VF21 said:I'm not going to argue this any further with you because the proof is in the pudding, as they say.
