Any news about Peja's injury?

No, you're not.

But I hate being called a "hater," so I haven't brought it up.

According to several people within and outside the team, Pejas pinky and ring finger are/were easily twice their nomal size and Peja hand was numb. He did shootaround today and felt much better.

Peja is a wuss but his injury was legit.
I think that is what he and I were saying, but some would rather judge a person even though he says otherwise. Why would Pedja lie about his hand? Yet those same people who think I am defending him on THIS topic would say I am just being a homer. I think he is soft like the rest of you I even mentioned this in very same thread. What I do not like is people who criticize a person without a valid reason on a particular situation.

There you go with the lying again. Who says he's lying? He just feels a lot worse about his hand than anyone else would with the same injury. Valid reason? It's precisely because you don't think this is a valid reason that I'm accusing you of homerism. Actually, the Bonzi topic covers the evidence pretty well. I'll go on the direct quotes rather than slugking's allegations about a cartoonish finger that swells up to twice its normal size (oh and now his ring finger is also hurt no less, sources?). And he manages to shoot with it, even though it is exceedingly large.

Doesn't anyone else see how funny this is? We're arguing over wussiness and all the counter-examples for Peja not being wussy in this particular instance are all traced back to Peja himself. What he says, what people are saying he says, what people are saying he feels like (which he tells them), and so on... As if the best way to prove someone is not a wuss is to ask the wuss himself?

Reread what I wrote. Given the evidence at the time of the post(pre Bonzi quote BTW) I going by what he(Pedja) said. Am I homer because of it? No, because of what I wrote at the time. Am I wrong about the situation? Yes given what Bonzi has just said. That does not make me a homer though. Is Pedja soft? Yes he is and then some. That is what a wrote through out the thread the only thing I had issue with was this situation(me thinking the injury is greater then it is) now given the evidence or quote that came from Bonzi said I see am wrong.

Well, you may or may not have been wrong -- I think the injury is more or less what you thought it was, even what Peja thought it was. I think its more just a question of how a pro athlete normally reacts to that injury. Sprained fingers DO hurt, but I just think most high level players just play through that normally. Not always maybe. But just kind of part of the business. Bonzi obviously plays through it and would like Peja to put out a bit for the team as well. I have a hard time seeing Peja react well to that -- heck, I'd be embarrassed and a little pissed at being called on it myself. But in a perfect world maybe it would result in a new toughness standard for the Kings where everybody is expected to play through things, give it up for the team, and give everything they have every night. In a perfect world. We'll see.

At this point I think I would very much like "pinkygate" to go away now. Everybody on and off the team has pretty much said what needs to be said, and I don't think such a relatively minor issue should become a defining event for Peja or the team. We have bigger fish to fry.

I do think that it had to be said by Bonzi. We as a team need a spark and energy I think this situation might be what is needed. We need passion on this team and I am thankful for having a player like Bonzi to provide it. It is now up to Pedja to respond.

^^LOL!

I was working on it last night, and will probably finish it when I get home from Thanksgiving dinner. That is, of course, if I'm not passed out on my couch ...

:D

pretend you're shooting a basketball. now take your thumb out of the shot. see, same shot. dribbling might be a problem though.
You cannot even balance the ball properly during shooting without the thumb. That's what make us human. Opposable thumb..so we can pick things up.

maybe...more shoots for everybody...as I said before: trade peja..we will have better chemistry.....actualy we can sign petition (for trading Peja) to the kings organization....especially now when hes faking an injury (according to sports injury experts on this forum)
