Well, you may or may not have been wrong -- I think the injury is more or less what you thought it was, even what Peja thought it was. I think its more just a question of how a pro athlete normally reacts to that injury. Sprained fingers DO hurt, but I just think most high level players just play through that normally. Not always maybe. But just kind of part of the business. Bonzi obviously plays through it and would like Peja to put out a bit for the team as well. I have a hard time seeing Peja react well to that -- heck, I'd be embarrassed and a little pissed at being called on it myself. But in a perfect world maybe it would result in a new toughness standard for the Kings where everybody is expected to play through things, give it up for the team, and give everything they have every night. In a perfect world. We'll see.
At this point I think I would very much like "pinkygate" to go away now. Everybody on and off the team has pretty much said what needs to be said, and I don't think such a relatively minor issue should become a defining event for Peja or the team. We have bigger fish to fry.
