man the suns are smoking hot and i really want to win the pacific do u guys think we will.evans+bobby in the playoffs thats a great ingredient.do u guys really think the suns will make it to the western finals i dont think so if we can keep teams under95 in my opionion we will go deep in the playoffs

Chance.... sure
Will the Kings?.... only if Phoenix melts down, they have a nice jump on the season, a hot high scoring squad, so I doubt they will drop many regualer season games.

Will it matter?... Not much I don't see Pheonix going far in the playoffs
 
Never say never. LAL won it last year even though we ha even as much as 7 game lead on them.

Bigger concern is HCA because Kings, Spurs, Wolves and Mavs could end up 3,4,5,6 - in no particular order.

I would rather b 8 seed and play Suns than play Wolves in the 1st round
 
As VF, said we'ver won it before so it really isn't really a problem. The only way we can come back is the Suns have a losing drought or one of their main players gets injured.( Nash, Marion, Amare, Richardson)
 
.. If the suns keep playing the way they are through the regular season, their confidence will be high and I think they can go far. It's still too early to decide though.
 
I don't think anyone knows right now. Its Jan, injuiries will happen (hopefully not to us more). Maybe in late March this would be a better question.
 
Going to be difficult to catch Phoenix with the headstaret they have going. They could easily hit a roguh patch here thouhg, esepcially if Nash does his annual late season fatigue thing. Not out of reach, but we have to win 55 to even have a shot I think, and probably closer to 60 to pull it out.\

In the playoffs I don't think the Suns will go far -- classic Suns run n gun squad like all of the ones they'e had before. Win 50+ in the regular season, then head into the postseason when games slow down and get pummerled out.

But for us NOT winning the division could have bigger consequences than it did in years past because with three divisions it forces us down into the 4th position (at best) and could set up a nasty 4/5 matchup with a team like Minnesota.
 
even if we dun win the pacific division title or the WEstern conference i think we can dominate in the playoffs.... with EXPERIENCE...

amare hasnt been there, dont know if johnson has, richardson hasnt been there etc....

this was seen with the memphis grizzlies... i rekon the suns will make it as far as the WCF...

if the kings make the playoffs they will beat em!!!!!
 
Its a matter of time till the Suns youth starts to hurt them , i hope it is towards the end of the season to destroy any momentum they have :D
 
Of course there's a chance, but I'd say that it's not nearly as important to our playoff success as it's been in years' past. I think that the best possible draw for us would be the #4 seed to face Phoenix in the second round, as long as Minnesota doesn't end up with the #5 seed.
 
I remember Dallas getting off to an amazing first half start a couple years back... I still have a feeling that Phoenix is going to come back to reality sooner or later. Injuries, fatigue, someone figuring out how to stop them... :)

If they continue dominating like they are now though, then you can forget winning the Pacific.
 
Exactly, injuries, fatigue, and like andriod said earlier, their lack of post season experience. They have some, but the Kings are a veteran playoff team. We would have them dominated in that specific category.
 
another pacific title banner isn't very exciting. i'd rather have that WCF banner be raised.

phoneix IS going to come back to earth. they have no depth, and nash *always* wears down as the year does. will that be enough for the kings to win the division??? it could be.

i would prefer the standings to be like this

1 -kings/suns
2 -spurs
3 -wolves
4 -kings or suns

that way, we only have to face either the wolves or spurs in the WCF.. we should be able to handle teams like dallas, seattle, suns, etc, IMO.. sooo minny better win its division!
 
i don't think we'll catch up to the suns. they seem like they are going to run away with the regular season, kind of like the mavericks a few years back. the playoffs, well that's a whole different ballgame.
