Rather than pick up his player option and remain with the New Orleans Pelicans, the 28-year-old shooting guard is opting to test the waters of free agency, via HoopsHype.com's Jorge Sierra. He's coming off a season in which he played just under 19 minutes per game, averaging 8.4 points, 1.8 rebounds and 0.8 assists while shooting 45.1 percent from beyond the arc.

We really could use him imo as either a starter or bench player, if we are going to build around Cousins you may as well other than having a shot blocking bigman and playmaking PG have 10 Anthony Morrows on the squad a solid attitude and a guy who will splash it from 3 point land.

We could offer him like 3 million a season?

I don't know if we're going to have the ability to sign a legit, somewhat established sg. Like all things this offseason, it all depends on what happens with Gay/Thomas. The only scenario where I can imagine us signing a player like morrow is if we lose Gay.

Oh, Morrow isn't going to cost much. And I'm actually glad somebody mentioned this as I noted it myself. There are a number of cheap little backup SG types that should be available this summer and that could be good fits for us at a budget price.

Music to my ears! Cheap, solid veteran who addresses a need as a deep shooter. Sign him up please! Bonus is he can play SG and some minutes at SF.

Please, Pete, get this kid as a nice little shooting addition. And best part, he would not cost a lot!

If he and his agent do their homework, then they know already that PDA is on record as saying they want/need 3 point shooting and the roster just has Ben at SG......lots of playing time to be had.

I love this dude but I wouldn't be surprised if the kings have to overbid for his services since he's signing with a "bad team" It's a guy we need and I wouldn't mind him and Mike Miller. I wanted him last year so bad.

This where having Rudy and with luck Love comes in... vets will want to play with them and DMC... a team that is going places.

We already have 2 back-up SGs in Jason Terry and BMac. We need a starting SG. Is Marrow capable?

It's very unlikely that Terry will ever wear a Kings uniform. I think the Kings will encourage him to retire, or they'll buy him out. As for Morrow, he's a very good 3 pt shooter. I believe he shot close to 45% from the three last season.
