It was a total tour de force of a game by Keon -- and not just on defense. I'd go so far as to say it was the best defensive game played by a King in the last 15 years. Before that we had Ron Artest who was still in DPOY form when he wore the Sacramento uniform and played this level of defense consistently. Just an absolute monster. And before that there was Doug of course. Hard to compare really, all deserve to be celebrated for their brilliance.

This team is just on a totally different level with Keon+Keegan on the floor defensively. They're both so good on ball and team defense, playing passing lanes, making impact defensive plays.

That play Keon had on Jaquez in ISO, in the post (someone said he couldn't defend wings?) and he just absolutely mauled him and blocked his shot. Absolute Chefs kiss

Bam 6-19 shooting for 18 points

-Clutch FT's at the end of regulation to tie the game
-Clutch stop on Bam in OT2 with under a minute
-Immediately on the next possession gets a clutch rebound from 2 MIA to get DDR the dagger

He's playing at an unreal level

Bam is being underutilized in Miami imo. Dude is a monster defender and elite passer, I feel like they could run him a bit like Sabonis but they don’t.

Honestly, not to rain on the parade but jury is still out. No team out there is prepping for Keon Ellis that hard. Although you'll never be able to take his defense intensity away.
He's just a glue guy. 3&D. 4th or 5th option on offense depending what Keegan is doing and a nasty defender. I'm not sure you out game those guys you just hope that you can spread the ball around and neutralize their impact. That's why a lot of us are drooling over what Keegan, Carter, and Keon can do together with other combinations of players around them.

I don't know what kind of revisionist history you're playing at but, if you make the conference finals, you're in contention in my Personal Record Book™.

Pacers made the conference finals last season and they are definitely not contenders, teams make runs all the time.

Man, I wanted to show a screen shot of Christie having the best-ever winning percentage for an NBA coach, but BBRef thinks Mike Brown is still coaching the team.

If we allow for interim coaches, doesn't that make (uh oh!) Luke Walton the greatest ever?

Doug has a decision to make when Fox gets back for sure. Carter's ready to take all those minutes and then some.

I think step 1 is you just start to phase out Huerter. Or that instead of him being the 6th man, he's the 9th man. Keon/Carter/Lyles get a majority of the bench run.

Is what it is on his trade value. Let's start building what the 3+ year goal of this team can be. That starts with properly using Keon and Carter
