I like how Brad Steven is totally the opposite of Danny Ainge, Brad just doesn't preserve the picks
Pacers have the same temporary insanity bug that the Blazers had in February?
So happy Holiday and Harkless are off this team.
I have nothing bad to say about Harkless really. Holiday can kick rocks though.
Yea we have trade exception money left over from trades last year as credit to cover the difference.so we are bringing in 14 mil and sending out 10 mil.
Now trade Barnes and a 1st for OG and call it a day
Wait can’t deal consecutive 1sts can they?
If they really want to trade the pick they can do it on 2023 draft day, but that draft class is pretty good from what I heard so I think Monte chose 2024's pick for a reasonthat’s the biggest downside to this deal. We can’t trade 23-25 picks. (I bet it conveys in 24). We are doubling down on internal improvements and a ‘23 free agency signing

Didn't realize rVelvet was 6'7
oh man, that’s a great deal for the Bulls
This must have been prior to the Huerter trade, right? Even then it doesn't quite add up even if he's considering both Barnes & Murray to be PFs.
2 PG - Fox/Mitchell
2 SG - Monk/Davis
1 SF - Holiday/Harkless (?)
3 PF - Barnes/Murray/Lyles/Metu (?)
3 C - Sabonis/Holmes/Len
Or was it post trade and he considers Huerter a SF

I'm not sure that's a bad thing. Monte is currently a lame duck GM. Letting him trade away more future assets doesn't seem like the best idea.
I think the Tweet in question considers Barnes a SF and Huerter a SG.
I’m not worried about his job, it’s secure in my mind. If an opportunity comes up to trade Barnes and a couple first rounders for a serious upgrade we won’t be able to pull the trigger. Still I like the trade overall
Incoming career year for Holiday with Trae dishing him wide open shots.
