2009 NBA Playoffs Thread

I'm so embarrased I'm tempted to turn this travesty off. Nobody looks interested in defending. Tyrus Thomas, for all his athleticism, shows his immaturity and lack of basketball IQ as soon as things don't go his way. Rose... it's hard to be critical of a rookie that does not have a good supporting cast around him, but it's difficult to watch him and his "swagger" dissapear. He has no confidence in himself, and is dribbling aimlesly and throwing it to one of his teammates that try to go one v one too much. No half court game, and more importantly, no heart in one of these players. Hardest playing player in beginning was Noah, now it has been hinrich. This game should show how useless Gordon is unless his jumper is falling.

Glen Davis just stripped Salmons. Read that sentence over and try not to hurt yourself. He would be far and away the best player on the Bulls.

Vinny... should just quit. He has about as much effect on the players as I do. Idiotic move to hire a coach that has no respect among his players, especially one with no experience. He has been more detrimental than helpful this season.

Notice why Bulls won game one and came close in game 2 - phenomenal individual experiences combined with ****ty games from the opposing team's "star" players. Will not be repeated. It is truly painful to watch at this point.

Hah... Barkley

"Kobe is just 1-10 from the field. Why is that?"

"Because he missed 9 shots"

Rondo's been playin on a sprained ankle. He'll be fine. Wouldn't really surprise me if they held him out of the next game, might even be a good idea. Marbury's played fairly well, offensivelly, but the Bulls are so challeneged offensivelly you might not need a good defender like Rondo at PG to win.

Make it 23/22! And he just posterized Gasol to give Utah a 2 point lead.

EDIT -

Deron Williams jumper gives Utah the 2 pt lead back with 2 seconds to go. Now we'll se if they can stop Kobe.

Jazz win. Kobe must've given every Jazz fan in ol' Delta flashbacks of MJ.. too bad he missed. :D

Lakers lead 2-1. Series resumes saturday.

Monster game by Boozer... however, I'll be surprised if the Lakers don't come out and lay some smack down in Game 4.

Boozer played great, as well as the Jazz bench. He should play more aggressive like that every game. Thats the only way he can neutralize Gasol's height advantage. Kobe had a horrible night, 5 for 24. Its obvious that he is already slowing down. We'll see if he can bounce back tomorrow.

Wow, only saw bits of the 1st quarter but I knew Boozer would have a huge game. He had like 8 rebounds 6 minutes in. Hope they beat em again!

hands down.. Lebron james MVP.. cavs up 3-0 in the playoffs... sweeping time

the guy has been consistent in his 3 games he makes it look easy

would it have made a difference if AI was in the game?

Thaddeus Young gamewinner against the DPOY in the paint. Foul? Maybe. Travel? Almost.

No matter what, Philly leads series 2-1.

magic are under achieving..... damn and they are under achieving so BAD

I expected Philly would get a win or two, so two it might be, or three. I still would be surprised if they best Orlando but are capable, especially with their exceptional PG Nelson out. I thought SVG should have realized in such an extremely tight game all night he might need one last time-out in his pocket at the very end of the game. At this point, it looks like Cleveland will rather easily end up in the EC title game against? Boston? Miami? Atlanta? Maybe Orlando - surely not Philly.

Portland made a comeback were down three with 20 seconds left, blake runs up the court as fast as he could ignored his teammates, include the red hot Fernandez, and about 2 feet behind the three point line hoists a awkward, high arcing three point shot that fell 2 feet short of the rim

lol i dont know where to put this but we all know lakers cheat and the refs do it for them too but come on this one is REALLY ridiculous

that was flat out cheating

mike browns face was priceless

any ways... looks like CLEs going to sweep the pistons

hope the jazz gives the lakes a hard time

DEN-NOH great game. Hornets got in trouble there at the end, up by 10 with 3 minutes left, Chandler was already fouled out, then West fouled out. Anthony missed 2 game winner's (1 was a half court shot though). Go Hornets!
