2009 NBA Playoffs Thread

Probably the one that started the chant "I want TACOS"? ;)

Haha. I didn't partake, believe it or not. I was chuckling, tho, it was my first live taco chant. I witnessed a guy in a Jazz jersey being given the Utah sux treatment outside, but I'm not sure if it was a camera bit because it was right next to Norm Nixon doing a live postgame feed.

I wonder if Miller, Moore and Salmons thought, five months ago, that they'd be defending each other in a playoff game?

I heard people bag on Dwight Howard this morning, something about intensity. They should note that Philly made their comeback while Dwight was on the bench.

I still have to side with Chris Webber on this. When you have the luxury/good fortune of having Dwight Howard as your center, and you're in a tight playoff game, how come he's not touching the ball? Not to mention the fact that the Sixers don't have anyone who can come close to containing the man (31 and 16 in limited action). I don't understand why the Magic didn't pound the ball into to Howard over and over again down the stretch, regardless of whether he's a good free throw shooter or not. By the way, he was 9-12 from the line.

Brad Miller needs to be cut, immediately. Absolutely worthless, and has been detrimental more than ever. Cannot guard anybody, cannot take the ball on the floor and looks scared whenever he has the ball.

Bulls are having terrible breakdowns defensively. Bring Skiles back. With this group, we advance easily.

TERRIBLE rebounding by the Bulls. The sole reason the Cs are in this. I have never seen worse box outs in such a big game.

Ben Gordon has shot his way to a inflated contract this year. The Bulls will overpay like they did with Deng.

Allen has shown why he is a great clutch shooter. Having said that, why they did not force him baseline on the final play is beyond me. Vinny needs to be gone after this year, he is killing the progress of this team.

Did anyone see Kevin Garnett mugging and talking **** to the Bulls after Allen hit that shot? You're the defending champs, and you barely beat a young bulls team. I wouldn't talk ****, you're probably going to loose this series. I can't stand Garnett and his cheesy attitude, not to mention that King Tut looking mf'er Kendrick Perkins and Big Cry Baby Davis.

"Anything is possible!" lol.. so lame.

The duel between Ben Gordon and Ray Allen down the stretch was amazing to watch. Big shot after big shot... wow. Fun game.

BTW, Game 3 in Dallas should be very interesting after Dampier's comments about Parker.

The league is filled with a bunch of wusses. Dampier said nothing there that is not basketball, and indeed contact sports 101. He didn't say he was going to injure him or put him out of the game. he said he was going to flatten him. And he'd better, because if somebody on Dallas does not grow the coconuts to make Parker think twice about driving the lane he's going to chase them right into summer vacation.

Erich Dampier talking trash is a lot like a chihuahua barking at a great dane. He has the basketball IQ of an artichoke, and that's probably being patently unfair to the thorny vegetable.

The sad thing is Dampier will probably try and flatten Parker, which will only get him ejected and possibly suspended and hasten the Mavericks retreat from the playoffs...

Oh wait. I forgot. I don't care which Texas team is eliminated at this juncture. At the end of the first round, either I see Mark Cuban's pouty face OR I see Tim Duncan's sad countenance.

:p

Kevin Garnett is an embarrassment to the Celtics. I was hoping that the Bulls would have won that game…I really hope the Bulls win this series.

Why isn’t the Portland game on? I’ve switched through all the channels and I haven’t seen them on. I was waiting for that game.

I believe the Blazer/Rocket game is on NBATV as is Orlandos/Phillys tomorrow.

Thanks. Too bad I don't have NBATV...Seemed like a good game, glad the Blazers won, even though I really want Rick Adelman to continue.

I hope Orlando wins tomorrow.

Yeah Wilbon and Kornheiser bashed him for that on PTI tonight. They made a good point to say that he had 48 minutes to knock em hard last night n he didn't do it, nevermind the next game

Actually, he did give him a couple of hard fouls in the second half, but it was too little, too late. You don't let Tony Parker score 19 first quarter points (probably 14 in the paint) and then talk junk the next day about how you're going to "flatten him" in the next game. Let your walkin' do the talkin'.

Anyone see what Wade is doing in the second half, 13 consecutive points. He finally missed against Bibby out of all people.

I dont think I'm allowed to post links to sites where you can watch live sports on this board but if anyone wants a great link to watch NBATV send me a PM. I watched both the Rockets/Blazers game and the Orlando/Philly game yesterday in relatively high quality. The site is also great at picking up games on local channels (for instance I can watch the Kings from New Jersey).
