Last 6 seasons combined record: 159 W’s and 317 L’s (.334). Yes, the tank is strong in SacTown basketball. The sucktitude is similar. But it seems like the season’s record was once again the last thing on a fan’s mind. The ownership saga and the relationship between the Maloofs and the community as a whole and its representatives in particular are at an all time low. That is until next season, of course...
In the meanwhile here is the 2012 edition of:
10 indicators you might be a true purple hearted fan
1. You find no spelling errors while reading “luck the Mafoofs”
2. You have committed to purchasing The Three Stooges new book:”How to invest your inheritance. NOT!”
3. You think a new logo, reflecting owner's values, is in place. It should look something like this.
4. You pray for a miracle. A Burkiracle if possible.
5. Lin or Woss, when you play the Fakers – ALWAYS play for the win. ALWAYS.
6. If you disagree with #5, you probably need to be reminded with this.
7. Statistics, Shmatistics. With the King’s luck you knew immediately when they won the coin flip for the additional ping pong ball that they will be getting the 9th pick at the lottery. Before trading down, that is...
8. Enough travelling. After this team was formed in NY and travelled to Cincinnati (“the Queens city”, BTW) and KC, you just want everyone to acknowledge that they need to stay the SACRAMENTO Kings.
9. They say a common enemy make best of friends. You actually like David Stern. Let him stay as a commissioner for a few more years.
10. Your support for KJ is non-hesitation. If you build it – they will come! (*)
