So I got into a minor accident today. First real snow of the year. Took a sharp left turn and slid on the snow into the sidewalk. I hate feeling stupid. It was a stupid accident, should have never happened.

I feel like I did a lot of damage too, but it was hard to tell. No body damage though... it looks like the ONLY piece of my car to hit the curb was the tire. It looks very strange .. The tire was diagonal.. looked like it almost snapped off. Im guessing it is going to be expensive to fix, but Im keeping my fingers crossed.

No Car + Christmas this week is not good.

Someone broke into our offices yesterday and stole a couple laptops, GPS units, etc. Included in the haul was a few items of mine: digital camera (old, no big deal), my iPod (didn't use it much but was going to give it to my son soon, so that stinks), and my backup hard drive from home. That rally f****** sucks. I am going through everything I can think of and changing online passwords, etc., as I had a file on it with some login info at some point. Also have to check with the bank, etc., as loan documents for our house were scanned onto it and saved there.

Hope they enjoy all the family photos.

Bastards.

I've just finished the 2010 sales numbers for the business I manage. For the first time since 2005, we have growth! Since 2005, we've lost over 100K in sales volume, and I think the skid has finally stopped. A 6.2% increase may not seem like much, but for me it's a major victory. Here's to more growth in 2011!

WooHoo, Arwen!

I hadn't checked this thread for a bit. Man Warhawk, I'm so sorry about the theft. :(

MassachusettsKingsFan: Sorry to hear about your accident. Diagonal tire does not sound good. :(

Mmmmm, Tortilla soup. I've been saying I'm going to make some for about the last 3 weeks!
That place over there in the Natomas Marketplace, On The Border (I think), will make it to go for about 7 or 8 bucks, with chips and salsa. All of the ingredients are seperated and you get to feel all fantastic chef like at home putting it together! I liked it.

Wait, do you live in Sacramento?

What do you know? I got scheduled for an interview for Thursday for an epoxy flooring contractor for an estimator position in Anaheim. That company also has a contractor's license in Nevada and Arizona. I was upfront with the owner on the phone by telling him I've never estimated flooring. He said that's OK. No big deal. Well, let's see what happens. Construction is so dead down here in the IE and where I work is very slow and getting boring.

Coming to grips with the sad sad truth that I am balding. Instead of going through all of the hair care crap, I'm just going to buzz it off and not worry about it anymore. Damn you, genetics.

Sigh

The transmission in my 2005 Sonata starting acting up last week. That tranny has been replaced twice in the last 2 years (both times under warranty) and this seems to be an annual event. We were able to trade it in and got something newer and bigger. yota.jpg

I didn't recieve my notice that my contributor subscription was up. But as I seem to no longer be able to access that forum I presume that is what happened. Ah well, I'll renew soon.
